A: No, you have to yank the bristles out before putting in the compost.

**Q: Are the bristles phthalate free?**
A: The bristles fall out in your kids mouth! These tooth brushes suck!!!!! NEVER AGAIN

**Q: What type of glue is used to make these? Is it gluten based? (yes it's a thing)**
A: I have no idea, but these toothbrushes suck! I had to throw them away! My three YO was brushing his teeth the he started saying help dad help. I looked in his mouth and he had plastic bristles throughout. Buyer beware! We are using the Colgate kids ones now! They are awesome.

Not so sure , but I believe you need to leave in a open place and the place should be ventilated , our is going to almost 2 months amd no mold , we leave the bathroom door open all the time , and store in a open cup
