Micom Water Boiler and Warmer, 4.0 L (Black)

Don't think about it and just buy it!!! I bought this to replace my 26-year old Zojirushi hot water maker, which would've kept working, but I accidentally broke it thru my own negligence. They are remarkably well made and long lasting!! I use this every day. The temps on this maker are spot on and perfect for delicate teas and etc. This unit is well worth the money I've spent on it and it looks classy too.

Hands down my most favorite appliance! The price at first is a bit daunting but it has paid for itself more than once. It gets used every single day. I purchased the Japanese 4L model and set it to the highest water temp for teas, coffees and even soups. The size is perfect and it does not take very long to warm up and the water stays hot all day all night. The song it plays when the water is done boiling is also a nice touch. If you drink a lot of tea or coffee or even instant noodles, having hot water available 24/7 is a game changer. I do have to do the citric acid cleanse about once a month for calcium, water deposits and build up even though it is filled with filtered water but it has never affected the taste of the water or the function of the machine. Very pleased with my purchase!

Works great, super convenient to always have hot water at the right temperature that you want for different teas: 160F, 175F, 195F and 208F. The capacity is just what we need and refill it every couple of days. It boils the water to 212F and then cools down to your set temperature when you add a lot of cold water. So not instant if you need a certain temperature right away.

Good packaging and we’ve hot water instantly. It fits perfectly on my counter.

This water boiler is so convenient! We use it several times a day. I don't need to run gallons of water at the tap to get hot water. This makes the availability of hot water an immediate option. I appreciate the opportunity to set the temperature and love that it is spot on. My hubs uses a neti pot and this boiled water is safe to use because it is held at a high temperature all the time. Highly recommend!

My old 5L Zojirushi Water Boiler just failed after nearly 20 years of use. Never had an issue with the pumping mechanism or heating control until it just stopped. Only maintenance was the cleaning of the reservoir chamber of some mineral (calcium and silica salts) scaling a few times a year. Do not recall any issues of water tasting off due to the reservoir chamber coating. Made many pots of delicate green teas and always enjoyable. Of course coffee pour overs, instant ramen, udon, Saimin, and instant soups were tasty and conveniently readily made as needed especially with my family on the go. I bought this newer generation 5L hot water dispenser reservoir and believe it will be still running for 20 years too. Price has doubled but not an issue for me considering the long life of this product.

Thew worst water boiler I have ever owned. 1. It spreads water on kitchen counter everytime I refill. Somehow, the top cover is designed as a water "reservoir", every flip of the cover dumps water out (a good amount, not a few drops). 2. It rusts easily. I have used more than 10 water boilers in the past 40 years and this is the ONLY one RUSTED and it is the most EXPENSIVE one. Can't believe it is made in Japan!! Don't believe the "warranty", it is a JOKE!

This is a great item, top quality, perfect for having hot water on hand. The only drawback is that there is no off button, so you have to unplug it to turn it off.

I bought this for my workplace so that my coworkers and I have a ready source of hot water for our tea, americano, instant noodles or general hot water fix. I’ve kept it running 24/7 for the last two months, refilling it with our filtered water and keeping the hold temperature at 195 degrees F (~90 degrees C) and have had absolutely had no issue with it including no hard water deposits or rust. I like that it’s simple to operate and has several useful settings including temperature presets for different teas and a timer function to auto turn off. It quickly boils water when I refill it so people don’t need to wait long for their hot water fix. Overall it’s an another great quality product from Zojirushi. My only complaints are: - Doesn’t have a quick release plug. Another model I have for my home has a quick release plug which not only makes it easy to move around (to refill/clean it or use it somewhere else), but also adds some safety in case someone tugs on the power cord preventing any accidental spillage of hot water. - Temperature labels are only in Fahrenheit… wish they can with another set of labels for use with the way more intuitive Celsius.

Boils water quickly, nice colour grey, excellent quality item. My previous Zojirushi water boiler lasted 10 years (every day use) but the seals started to degrade and they no longer make replacement lid, so I had to buy a new one.

I’ve read the commentary of lots of people comparing this to a kettle. It is not a kettle, it is a device which provides instant boiling water. It takes a while to boil when refilled (~45min) but that’s because it only pulls 800Wh. While holding the water’s temperature it pulls around 35Wh. Consequently it is very quiet while boiling and does not risk tripping your breaker if you’re doing other things. Its dispenser is very high quality & does not drip. You can set a timer to delay boiling and it will be DONE for the time you set. Additionally there is no auto-off (aside of dry boil) because, again, this is a device which provides instant boiling water and not a kettle. It also sings! Highly highly recommend this device.
