While this part has some similar specs, it is not the recommended upgrade for the new 2017 iMac 5K 27” model. We recommend using the Mac specific parts as those are the parts that are tested, qualified, and guaranteed compatible. Our 8GB-32GB upgrades for this new model just came out.
