Mother Earth Products Dried Celery, Crosscut, 9 Ounce

I always waste my extra celery and really hate to freeze them so I opted to try this that way I have them on hand whenever I need them and not have to run to the store to buy, wash slice and store. I love that this is an alternative option and I know I'll have them on hand whenever I need. Product hydrated well and retained it's wonderful aroma and flavor. Totally recommend and will buy again.

Can use in soups, meatloaf, egg salad, tuna salad... good buy. Recommend.

it taste like fresh chopped celery. I love it. It was so good. I had to share it with my friend. Iwill order it again when I get close to running out.

This is a strange product that works. It needs to be reconstituted before use. When it is fully reconstituted- after about five minutes - using a ratio of one part product, and two parts water, you have a worthy addition for your soups, salads and sauces. It has a slight crunch, and a celery flavor. 5Sure beats those limp celery stalks in the bottom of the refrigerator.).

Smells great! Easy to use. Tastes good in soups. Love this handy jar of celery! Made a creamy potato soup using the dried celery instead of fresh. I’ll never be without it!

I like to have dehydrated veggies on hand, to throw into an impromptu soup (when I don't have any fresh veggies on hand and I don't feel like going out to the store). They are also a great way to add veggies to your diet - throw a handful into rice or quinoa while it's cooking, or reconstitute some and add to a meatloaf you are making, etc.Ideally I'd love to buy the pre-made soup starter, but since I'm allergic to peppers I have to buy carrots, onions, celery, and tomatoes separately and make my own blend. I ordered all four, and two of them came to me with the safety seals broken - one of them was completely ripped off and stuck up into the cap, and the other had a tear and hole in it. After 45 mins in the phone with A--z--n trying to get a replacement or refund, and getting nowhere, I contacted the manufacturer directly. They were nice enough to ship replacements to me in time for the easy post-Thanksgiving turkey soup that I've got planned for this weekend.The other two arrived fine, safety seal intact.I've already used them a few times, and I've concluded that Mother Earth makes a nice product that they stand behind. I put carrots, tomatoes, and celery in yesterday's plain rice and it made a nice confetti rice side dish. I also threw some dried tomatoes in a chicken lentil soup I made last week - also yummy. Earlier this week, I made some homemade doggie treats that called for carrots. Since I didn't have any fresh carrots, I reconstituted some dried ones in hot water, and added them to the recipe. The treats came out great, and after gifting them to a relative for her dog, I got a text saying that her pooch went crazy for the treats! So two thumbs (and paws) up!!

I purchased this for making shelf stable (just add water) meals in a jar. I remove it from its original packaging to glass mason jars (with an oxygen absorber) to extend its shelf life. I don't hesitate to buy from this company due it's quality of products. Highly recommend
