Fluval U3 Underwater Filter

I had a cloudy aquarium with a filter priced 400 rs. It had to run for a week to make the water clear and the water flow was strong which made the fish hard to swim on their own. But this filter does magic. With in some hours after installation, the water became crystal clear. The flow is very smooth too.

Underwhelming. Had read a lot of great reviews. But not delighted.Good design, no doubt. Easy to install, clean etc.Powerful motor. U3 working well in a 25 GallonIn my opinion, filter media volume is just too small. Mechanical filtration is inadequate and bio media is too small in volume. Sponge filter choked up in a week and when I pulled the tray out it spilled a lot of muck back into the water.Again, good product, but not great.

Bought a new U4 and with few hours of working, impeller/motor was dead. Was lucky this time, it happened within return window. Reading reviews had high hope, even though my earlier fluval c4 impeller failed within one month of purchase and there was no option but replace filter. Thought u4 being under water might not be the case but history repeats. It could be an issue with product or Seller shipping damaged/fixed parts and better not to buy atleast from Amazon sellers

This product is very good for aquarium. Specially it did not create sound and also filter the water very well.

It's a great product. Since the time I have used this filter my aquarium lasts almost a month without changing the water but the only problem I faced was that the clip on the stand which holds the filter broke within 2 months and as such the filter has lost its balance. I hope there was a way to fix this.
