Would they be good to store in a car? California weather hot summers, cool winters. If so, how long is the shelf-life?

I store these in our RV which includes hot summers and cold winters in a plastic sealed storage container.  I have not had any issues.  I can't speak to the shelf life as we have generally consumed them within a year or 18 months of purchase, but since they are freeze dried, I believe they have an extended shelf life.  While they aren't gourmet dinners, they truly aren't bad tasting.  I carry some premixed spices in Ziploc bags to add some additional flavor.  Best wishes and safe travels.

How much water is needed to make the entrees? Per food serving? Per the entire amount of food in package?

Half the amount shown on the package....of which I cannot currently check as they are packed away in a bugout box. But it's not much...1/2 to 3/4 cup? But use only half of what is called for. If you mix it what they suggest, it becomes a sloppy, goopy mess and the flavor is very bland. Mixing half the water seems to make it look more like it should, texture more pleasing and the taste is more consistent and flavorful. BE AWARe----THIS IS A VERY, VERY HIGH SODIUM product. Anyone with blood pressure/heart/kidney/liver issues will have a hard time staying healthy if relying on this for survival. Most products are, but if you look around, you can find some equal quality foods with 1/3 of the sodium levels.

Have as a backup food supply so I never tried it . I guess in an emergency , taste won't matter . Hope this helps !! 25 year shelf life is a good thing .

No it’s vile. Every Ready Wise I’ve tried was absolutely terrible. Plus they tend to be more expensive than some of their better tasting competitors. IMHO these guys are selling people stuff that people will buy put on a shelf and never use. So they’re safe producing a terrible tasting product. I literally was unable to gag down a full serving of any of their “food”.
