I washed in warm water and put it in the dryer on the “more dry” setting. It didn’t shrink, no frayed threads or anything. HOWEVER: I did decide to order an XL. The large fits me fine but I have roommates and a few times when I sat down in the robe it opened a little too much for comfort and I ALMOST got exposed. So just to make sure I’m safe around roommates I ordered the extra large for the extra fabric to wrap around. I’m still really happy with it overall. So far I really like it. I will update once I’ve washed it a couple times and put some wear on it. But here is my first impression. Fit: I am 5’7” and 180 pounds. I ordered a large and it does overlap when closed but it’s just enough to be comfortable. That is not a complaint for me though, just the best way I can describe the fit. If you’re in my size range and like to have a little extra fabric to be extra cozy get the XL. I like how the large fits; I feel adequately covered. The hood is perfect for me.
