Works reliably and consistently!
Bought for my 55 gallon tank and has reliably worked for nearly half a year as needed. Been consistent and accurate enough to keep my fish happy and warm when it's cold. Took maybe a week to adjust the temperature to exactly where I wanted it to be as it may not always be exactly how it's stated by the knob but that's super easy to adjust. I suggest you start a little lower than you want it to be and bring it up a tiny amount each day til it's exactly where you want it to be. The suction cup on the thermometer isn't the greatest. I ended up using double sided tape to hold it to the tank. But the suction cups for the actual heater have worked flawlessly and kept it secured exactly where I put it months ago. Looks good, is easy to use, should be plenty durable. I'm happy with it. And if your looking for a tank heater, look no further, you found a good one.

Lasted just about 4 years without issue
I've been using this heater for almost 4 years now in a 75 gal and it's only now starting to have problems. It still heats, it's just permanently set at about 85 degrees now no matter what I change the dial too. Unfortunately for me I've got it in a cooler water tank. If this were a tropical aquarium I don't think I would have even noticed there was a problem. The only downside is that the dial you use to set the temperature is not very accurate, so you'll need to check the temperature with something else when you are getting it set. Easy enough to work around and an acceptable problem to me given the price.

Great for the price
I've had this heater now for about 5 months. It's been working great. It took a few days for it to adjust in my 65 gallon tank. The temperature was about 5-7 degrees off at first but then it became more accurate. I'm not sure why. I always use two thermometers just in case. I have it set at 79 and the tank is at 80 which is good to me. I've used many heaters like this and I've never had one be exact. It's easy to adjust with one hand and the temp is always where I want it to be. The suction cups are strong. Just make sure you don't put one on the heating element. The lowest one should be in the middle, in line with the indicator light, just above the coils and the second one should be all the way at the top. This will still provide stability (unless you have big fish that might knock it around) and prevent the cup from warping. There's a rubber foot at the bottom of the heater that keeps it from tapping the glass. The demonstration video shows it wrong! The digital thermometer also seems to work well but I stopped using it because I just prefer glass thermometers. I tested it with two glass thermometers and it matched consistently for 4 months. I'll be using it for acclimating or moving fish. I would recommend this thermometer for anyone and add to just make sure the suction cups are positioned correctly and always try to test your heaters without fish first if you can.

Evenly heated, slightly less durable
Gets the job done, heats evenly and keeps true to temp. Minus one star because the end cap rubber at the bottom came off shortly after putting it in, but it doesn't seem to affect the function.

500W big enough for 55 gallon
I originally bought a 300W aquarium heater for my 55 gallon aquarium. (A different brand) It said it was good from 40-55 gallons. I installed it and "maxed it out" at 89 degrees, but my aquarium would only get to 66.5 degrees on the other side of the aquarium opposite the heater. This was simply too chilly for my fishies. (I have a freshwater tropical set up with mostly Tetras) I sized up to the Orlushy 500w which was substantially larger in size compared to the 300W heater and I now have no problem heating my aquarium into the 80's if need be. I believe this one advertises that it will heat from 50-80 gallon. Learn from my mistake and go with the 500W heater if you have a 55 gallon or larger to get proper heating. Orlushy was the only one (I saw) that provided the larger sized 500W heater. Price was great and product looks good in the aquarium. I don't think my fish would have made it through the cold winter with out it. Because of the ridiculous cost of (even freshwater tropical fish) now a days... you don't want to chance them all dying for something that doesn't cost that much! In my opinion. Hope this helps!
