**Q: What does it mean packaging may vary?**
A: Not sure, as I ordered this same product and everything it shows was in the package.

**Q: Can the doll go underwater with the mermaid tail and fins?**
A: The doll is not intended to be used in water.

**Q: Why will their be  damage on the box**
A: Hi Carty the item is a store return and it looks like the clear part was unattached from the box. The Barbie and items are still attached as they come from the factory but that is what I meant by damage to the box. It is held on by tape now and everything inside the box has not been touched.

**Q: Why can't i remove my barbie shoes? barbie mermaid dreamtopia and ot camenwith the snap on tail, bodicenand another pair of shoes.**
A: Finally got mine off!  It required a lot of downward pulling and trying to widen the gap in the back of the shoe with my nails as well. 
My fingers hurt now and am sure my daughter will ask for help changing shoes again in 2 minutes.  Glad I'm not the only one with this problem.  Good luck!

I was hesitant due to the low price, but this is one of the best Barbie sets! At first my autistic daughter was overwhelmed; a princess, a mermaid AND a fairy??? She started with making sure the outfits matched the outfits for each version (if mermaid, this outfit, and if fairy, this outfit, etc). She even got out two other Barbies and dressed each individually (items fit best on Barbie's with realistic chest size aka newer versions). She was even able to maneuver the snap on shirts by herself, skirts harder, mermaid tail and shoes required assistance. On the back of the packaging, it has examples of how you can mix and match the items. After several days of switching each Barbie with each theme, it finally clicked. Dollies can be fairies AND princess: a fairy princess! Mermaids can still wear skirts, etc. She then applied this logic to other Barbie dress up sets that had always been strict sets (space barbie can only wear the suit and jetpack, etc). Soon we had space barbie princess and honey farmer fairy. It was a wonderful!
