Crucial RAM 8GB DDR4 2666 MHz CL19 Laptop Memory CT8G4SFRA266

This RAM stick was a perfect fit for my laptop. Installation was easy, although I am fairly comfortable with computers and basic IT-related tasks. I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3511 that originally came with 8 GB of RAM. I watched two YouTube videos on how to install an 8 GB DDR4 2666 RAM stick and went from there. The entire process was simple, and I had my laptop back up and running in less than 10 minutes. The new RAM was recognized immediately, with no errors or issues. Before installing it, my memory usage frequently reached 100%, and my laptop would start relying on the SSD just from opening Google Chrome. Now, with Chrome open while I write this review, memory usage is around 50% and SSD usage is at 0%. My laptop is noticeably faster and handles multitasking much better. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade! Also, a much cheaper DIY project that was so simple and at a better cost than going to a computer repair store for them to do such a simple task and charge you for the labor.

I upgraded the memory in my Synology NAS with this to triple the amount of memory available to the system. It was easy to install and directly compatible. The price was good as well. Once installed, the NAS is very noticeably speedier as it now has much more headroom to have a bigger file cache and such.

Got my computer, up, and running.

Received the stick of RAM as advertised, plugged it into the M70 Think Centre and it booted up and recognized at full speed 2666 MHz no problem. Any stability problems and I'll update this review but so far so good.

The package was concerningly small, though it was pretty easy to install. The video for installation didn't come when it was delivered (I'd expected an email to be sent with a video), but I had experience going into my HP 15 laptop before. Just unscrewed 10 of the same screw: 4 on the underside, 2 beneath the detatchable battery, and 4 beneath the rubber pads. Once unscrewed, I slid the disk drive away, and looked for a long rectangle. I pulled the two secure arms to the side and it popped out. I inserted the new ram by clickingnit into place, rescrewed the screws, and powered it back on. I checked the System Information app and sure enough, the physical installed memory went from 4 GB to 8 GB. I wouln't say that it makes booting up some apps faster, but once I'm in them, they seem to run quite well comapred to using 4 GB of RAM. I would certainly recommend Crucial to a friend. Their price was about $8 less than other sellars, so it was certainly worth it.

Ich habe den Riegel gekauft, um meine DS220+ von 2GB auf 10GB upzugraden. Denn da das zugrunde liegende Linux RAM als Cache nutzen kann und die DS220+ keinen SSD-Cache unterstützt, ist das eine ganz nette Möglichkeit, die Geschwindigkeit etwas zu erhöhen. Und für spätere Anwendungen (VM oder bei der 220+ wohl eher Docker) sicherlich auch nicht verkehrt. Der RAM funktioniert und bietet für weniger als den halben Preis des Synology-Riegels gleich die doppelte Kapazität, die meine 220 auch vollumfänglich akzeptiert. Offiziell unterstützt sie zwar nur 6GB, aber selbst Intel gibt schon 8GB für die CPU an und im Netz finden sich viele User mit 18GB RAM. Adressieren kann die CPU also sogar noch mehr. Ein Hinweis: Der Crucial-RAM wird offensichtlich in 2 Ausführungen produziert und es gibt vorab im Prinzip keine Möglichkeit zu wissen, welchen ihr bekommt. Die erste Ausführung hat 4 Speichermodule auf der beklebten Seite und die RÜckseite ist nackt (hinter der Produktbezeichnung findet ihr noch 4-5 weitere Stellen mit einer 4 drin) und die zweite Ausführung hat beidseitig je 4 Speichermodule (hinter der Produktbezeichnung befindet sich noch eine 8 -> z.B. CT8G4SFRA266 .C8JE). Anscheinend funktionieren überwiegend nur die doppelseitigen Speicher mit der 8. Ansonsten: Bester Preis für 8GB Ram, gute Leistung und mein NAS fluppt auch. Für die Inkompatibilität der einseitigen Riegel in den Synologys kann Crucial wohl eher nix. :-) 5/5

I ordered 2x8GB ram 2666 speed, they actually worked perfectly for my old laptop so now it can handle more work. Shipping was fast 1 day delivery which is amazing.

Bought it to upgrade my ram on my gaming laptop to 16G. Been using it for a very long time and never had any issue with it. worth the purchase
