Leather Tote Bag for Women, Travel Shopping Satchel Handbag

A week ago I purchased the 18" tote and fell so much in love with it. It's perfect. That I couldn't help myself, I want/need both sizes. The 15" leather quality is just the same, top notch. It is real genuine leather. The leather workers have put so much quality into their craft it truly shows. The color is attractive and beautiful. Very easy to take care of and clean. Each bag comes with a lovely note from the seller, and instructions for care. The 15" bag is smaller that the larger obviously and also in interior width. So it's a very nice option depending on your preferences of what you need to carry. This easily fits a full pack of baby wipes. A zip pack pouch of 7 diapers. My wallet (I put in the interior pocket on the bag for easy access), a small leather zipper pouch filled with chapstick, bandaids, mints), a pack pouch filled with an extra set of baby clothes, snack bars (4) small creams and lotions, keys, earbuds). A third pack pouch smaller size with 3 little bluey toys, a couple cars for out and about. Obviously I use this as a diaper bag. I also have some paperwork in there. Everything fits great, I even have some room for smaller essentials. The larger bag I've also used for a diaper bag; I love it equally. I fit all this plus a tablet, and could add in another tablet or books if wanted. Both bags are amazing carry all. The price for these bags is absolutely incredible. Honestly shocking (great for me/affordable). Shocking bc the quality to me is top notch and so stunning. Definitely worth the price and so much more. I literally want to replace all our luggage, bags ... with their products. The bags are very high end. Extremely well made/crafted. And the beauty of them is undeniable. I've included photos of both sizes, and both sides as well to show gorgeous color variations.

Could not be happier with the quality and beauty of this tote. Where has this been my entire adult life? I love it’s durability, timeless classic style and the size (15inch) is generous and perfect for my day to day use. I adore it so much I am planning on purchasing the 18 inch in the very near future for the occasional times you need an extra large tote to get the job done. You cannot get a better quality fashionable tote that will last you a lifetime for a better price. This is a superb bargain for a handcrafted item from a true artisan that cares deeply about their products and customers. It is so rare to find such a stunning leather item that is also extremely useful for an affordable price. My husband’s last leather belt cost more than this tote and is in no way special or unique. You won’t be disappointed! IMO this makes an unbeatable gift for special people in your life too. My best friend will be receiving one of these for her birthday in August. She is an amazing friend and expert gift giver.....I love the years when I know I found a stunning gift that she will treasure as much as I treasure her friendship! I plan to gift one as a unique diaper bag for another dear friend. My 3 sister in laws will also be seeing these under the tree this year for Christmas.....this is my year for giving the best gift to all my favorite people. I feel like this is the hidden gem item that won’t stay that way for long. It’s like finding an Oprah’s favorite thing before Oprah does.

LOVE this tote! This is my favorite Komalc product yet. I have a purse and the cylinder weekend bag too, I had a messenger bag, but my son's dog ate it. Still get mad at the dog when I think about it. My fault for not putting it up though... dogs like to chew on quality leather. This is my favorite Tote Bag of all time, in fact I'm giving the rest away, because as long as this holds up decently, which I'm sure it will, I will never use another one. This bag is stunning, it's absolutely gorgeous and it smells so good. It's very roomy and holds everything I ask it too with room to spare. The straps are sturdy and held to the bag with two rivets on each side of each strap for a total of 6 rivets. The leather is soft but thick and beautiful, it's the crazy horse type leather that I love so much. The tote is not lined on the inside but I like that. There is a pocket on the inside that is big enough for my cellphone, mail, and a small note pad. I even shove my keys in there sometimes. The inside pocket is also held to the Tote with rivets. It has an adjustable center snap closure, but I rarely use it. I get compliments on it constantly. I even has a lady chase me across the street to ask about it... LOL I smile every time I reach for it. Thank you Komalc for another really beautiful bag! I am more then happy with my purchase and I love all of my Komalc products. I have my eye on another messenger bag too!

I've had this bag less than a week and I can already tell this will be up there on the list of faves. It's gorgeous, seems extremely sturdy and appears to be made of thick, quality leather. I live in the city and prefer to carry a large tote instead of a purse - everything goes in there - laptop, wallet, toiletry bags, handheld fan, shoes, umbrella, mace. Also, I love the double snap feature on top so you can close the bag for a neater, more held-together appearance. It's definitely all leather and the quality is impressive. Beautiful rich brown color, too. I bought the 18" size and was a little concerned whether the tote would be wide enough to fit everything listed above. We'll, it does and a few more items could be thrown in there as well. The handles are wide and comfortable, but be aware the top of the tote will hang a few inches from your underarm if you wear it over your shoulder (not a problem for me, but thought it worth a mention anyway). I plan to provide an update after this tote has weathered daily commuting for a few months. All in all, I am very, very pleased with this purchase!! 04/27/2022 UPDATE - Never did get back to daily commuting since the pandemic started, but I can assure you that after 2+ years of daily use this leather tote is just as beautiful as the day it was purchased. All is holding up well and I still love this bag. Definitely a worthwhile investment! 07/13/2024 UPDATE - this tote has been doing a long commute into the city 2-3 days a week and is still holding up beautifully. The items in there can weigh up to 25 lbs when commuting with the laptop, work stuff, toiletries, umbrella, etc. and the straps are hanging in there. I get compliments on the bag all the time and the leather is ageing beautifully. I still love this bag!!

I didn't know what to expect when I ordered a leather tote for under $60. Would the leather be genuine? Would it be stiff and unattractive? Would the stitching be poor and overall cheap-looking? None of those. The tote came packaged in a soft fabric pouch like a high-end designer pocketbook. Included were care instructions and a personal letter from the founder of the company attesting to its handmade construction and excellent leather quality. I did apply some leather conditioner I keep on hand which softened it even more. The tote is luxurious and beautiful. I couldn't be more pleased.

Please note that for some strange reason, this review requires that I leave feedback for "shoes" (as in the question "Do these shoes provide good arch support?"). I had to check the boxes to be able to write a review, so I did, but none of that applies. What this product is is a very sturdy, well-made leather tote bag that, with a few tweaks, would be a 5+ product for sure. As it is, though, it comes pretty close. I've been looking for the perfect work tote for awhile. I teach, so I haul a lot around with me: books, student papers, laptop, lunch, travel pillow for my long commute, etc, so my first requirement was size. I wanted a generously-sized bag, and at 13.5"x18.5", this is one of the largest I've found. The seams are sturdily stitched and look like they will stand up to years of wear and tear. The leather itself is thick and durable. Don't be thrown off by the fact that this bag comes out of the packaging extremely stiff. The stiffness eases up after the first couple of wearings, and any creases in the leather from being folded up for shipping completely disappear. The color, in my opinion, is nicer in person than on the monitor. I was concerned that this would look too "distressed" for work, but I was wrong. The leather has a distressed look to it, but not excessively so. All in all, I'm very pleased with this purchase. However, there are features that this bag really does need to put it in the 5-star category. First of all, the handles are just a touch too short. When the bag is full, it's impossible to wear it over the shoulder. Even an additional 2" would have made all the difference. I really wanted this to be a shoulder tote, not one that I have to carry in my hand, and yet I find myself more times than not carrying it in my hand instead of on my shoulder. It also really needs one of those little doohickeys to hold the handles together. The handles are just a bit too wide to comfortably hold in my hand side-by-side, so I have to stack them one on top of the other. I've had plenty of bags that include a little bit of leather with a snap that goes around both handles together and holds them on top of one another to make it easier to carry. Since I'm forced to carry the bag in my hand, having one of those little doodads to keep the handles together and on top of one another would make the process easier. And while this bag is tall and wide, at 4" across the bottom it just doesn't expand quite far enough to hold everything I need to carry comfortably. Again, this is a case where just 2" more would have made all the difference in the world. All those features together, were they present in this bag, would truly make it my perfect work tote. Finally, what would push this over the edge into superstar territory would be the addition of metal feet on the bottom. Setting the bag down on the grubby train floor isn't pleasant, and a bag this size really does need to be set down. All in all, this is my almost-perfect work tote, and while it doesn't fit the bill on every single point, it's close enough that I won't have to go looking around for another one for awhile.

6 year update: Alright y'all, it's been 6 years since I have bought this gem. She is still going strong! At this point, I'll probably do a review every few years. Also, no funny smells, funky coloring or transfer on to clothes - ever. I wear a lot of white and neutral colors, and as a momma, I'm not gentle with my bag. It gets tossed, pulled, shoved around and LOADED up with more stuff than any of us need. I have moved to 3 states with this thing, all in hot and humid climates... it still looks beautiful and I STILL get compliments on it!! Where the stitching was coming up a few years ago, unfortunately has come out, but it hasn't compromised the durability. I need to stitch it back up, but my lazy self hasn't made that happen yet. Partially my fault though, this thing gets beat up and loaded up. Seriously though, after 6 years of never polishing, no leather treatment (other than the first year of purchase), no special care, it's treated like my gym bag (with the exception I never place this on the floor)... it has held up and FAR EXCEEDED not only my expectations, but my husbands expectations, too (he's seen the rough handling, first hand). If I need any leather bag, I shop KomalC first. I have several KomalC products and will continue to purchase them through the years, they have all stood up to the challenge. UPDATE: It's been going strong for 4 years... I have used and abused this bag by overloading it most days, it looks just as good as day 1! Anyone thinking of buying this will not be disappointed. I get so many compliments on it too. I am LOVING this bag! I get daily compliments on it, it holds everything I need and more. The straps are thin but do not hurt when my bag is fully loaded up. Stitching is fine but I have noticed some of it starting to slowly coming up but has not come apart. The color does not transfer to any of my clothes. I truly love this and will order more Komal products in the future.

I love it ! I have not used it more than one day (not going out much with Covid19) but was looking for a tote large enough to carry a 15.6in laptop in its sleeve and this bag is very roomy. The quality is great, I love that there is no brand logo visible on the outside - well done ! Good quality stitches and great grain for the leather , very smooth and smells good (no smells of chemical). Minor scratches visible even as you take it out of the plastic bag but that’s leather and it adds character. The handles are long enough as well you can carry it on your shoulder even with a bulky winter jacket. See pictures for a better idea of how big the bag is / how much you can fit and the quality of the leather up close. Comes with a dust bag as well which is appreciated. 5stars - will be my go to bag now to carry my laptop. Very light as well and handles are flat are comfortable on your shoulder. Also comes with a care note.

This bag is amazing and I’m so delighted with it. I had read all the reviews on line and everyone said it was amazing but even so I was a little skeptical and also worried about the possible colour variation but I wasn’t disappointed when it arrived. The colour is beautiful and it has a lovely leather smell. I’ve been looking for a bag like this for ages and I’m so pleased to have found this. Really comfy on my shoulder too and doesn’t slip off constantly. Can’t recommend it enough for the price.

This company, Komal's Passion Leathers, is a hidden gem! Their products are amazing - I have bought buffalo leather duffle bags for all of my sons and they love them. Great quality leather, really well manufactured. But this leather shoulder bag tote, has garnered even more comments for my partner than the duffles. Everywhere she goes, people comment how beautiful the leather is and versatile the size of the bag is. Super functional and stunningly beautiful!! We will definitely but this again!

Roomy bag, lovely leather, would scratch easily but that’s why I like this particular leather, I would imagine it will patina nicely! Prompt delivery, a signed note inside from the owner was a lovely, personal touch, will definitely buy from this company again!
