Clear Propagation (when it isn't! ;-))
This is a great explanation of the various propagation modes and interpretation of online source reference material, with just a few trig and algebra examples as appropriate to highlight what's going on. A very easy read and I recommend it!

Great starting place for understanding atmospheric effects on propagation
Opened my eyes to all sorts of measures available to the public that may affect HF propagation. I've read the book twice - lots about the ionosphere. Good stuff. Some explanations lacked some details - but the big picture is the starting point. I wish the author had summarized everything into a check list. E.g. sunspots good, coronal mass injections bad, etc. :) I'm now on my 3rd read.

Read this before or after your first HF transmission
Mike Burnette does an excellent job of clearly explaining a complex topic. As a new Ham with a General license I appreciated getting a concise understanding of the world my HF signals live in after they leave my radio or before they are received from far away. This book will make you a better Ham and get you more QSOs.

Great info
Studying for my General and propagation kept coming up. Read this and found it insightful and pretty thorough. Easy to read.

This is used as a study guide. Of course I read it. I can't write a review the way a person wants to see. I hate writing reviews

Excellent description of the basics
Loved this book. He provided me with details based on the physics of what's going on up there that finally helped me understand a lot more about propagation. I finished the book and went right back and read it again. I considered it that important to understand what he was describing.

Radio Wave Propagation on Planet Earth Explained for the Rest of Us
This subject is NOT simple. Any radio engineer or higher-license amateur is well-aware of complexities of the subject, but I applaud Michael Burnette for ripping down-to-earth effects of EM path behaviors from the obscuring mathmanship typical in radio engineering. I have those engineering books, but this book was fascinating because it explained in English the nuts and bolts of many paths, reflections and nulling behaviors quite well. What a great book! Thanks!

Good book
Easy to read and good me deeper into propagation than I was before I started.
