Excellent Buy for the Price
The product is nice and light with a solid very quick and reactive screen which makes it very easy to deal with, the sound is pretty great for the price and the fact that you CAN connect to a speaker system makes it all the better. The back up camera is a Huge plus and very functional and honestly very easy to install. I have a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2016 and it wasn't the Best option for it ONLY because of fitting issues, BUT I am very inventive so I managed to deal with it well enough that it worked out great... With that said, I will Also have to state that even with the purchase of a CH1 and RR1 (an extra $206) there was something wrong with the connection (green to gray cables) that make the radio turn off every time I went less than 20mph and kept going on and off like that until I had to figure it out for myself... Even though the Maestro RR1 is supposed to work as the "mainframe" that connects the functions of the vehicle to the radio it didn't exactly do the job at the beginning. Although I did absolutely Everything by the book, I still had to reconnect cables outside of the instructions to make it functional. Apart from THAT it is a GREAT BUY, especially for the price and the features within the (pretty much the android tablet) stereo. PS: it does NOT have an SD Card Slot or an Aux port, but everyone has a smart phone by now so it really doesn't matter. Also, don't get frustrated with the Chinese words, you CAN Change all that once uou play with it enough. Preferably within Wifi Range so you can Really do everything with ease.

Good item, great customer service
This is a review of a cheap Podofo head unit with some nicer features like GPS and decent amount of memory. The unit seems responsive and fast. The screen is not the brightest out of the box and has no obvious knobs to adjust it but if you go into settings (admittedly quite buried in the menus) then you can get brightness and contrast to be OK for daily driving. The sound output is great for my system (I only have two channels) but not sure it would be great for surround. Everything about this unit is cheap but not cheapo. They send you a manual by PDF - no print version. The manual and the menus have some Chinese characters here and there but you can decode the necessary bits. Actually you do not need a manual - all the pinouts are available in the settings once you power on the unit. The wires are not all labeled well (like speaker wires have no labels) but the wires on my unit follow standard codes so for example my sound was good the first time I hooked everything up. Best of all, when I made a mistake and failed to properly hook up the reverse wire, their tech support spent two days with me by email helping me troubleshoot. It was slow but I have to admire the commitment to the customer. I just installed the unit so I have no idea if the screen will last or anything to do with longevity. I also think that if you have a few hundred dollars extra and don't want the installation hassle then maybe buy a brand name and have the dealer install it. If money matters though, then this unit is an impressive bargain for the money.

Poor product
This is a long review so I apologize, but I feel it is important that I give a full accounting of my findings with this unit. First unit I received popped and smoked as soon as the battery power was reapplied to the car after installation despite all connections being correct. Amazon was very good about getting a replacement sent out and I received that quickly. The second unit powered on using the exact same connections as the first unit, verifying it wasn't the connections that caused the first to fail. Once the unit booted you are presented with a generic Android launcher screen much like a tablet. The radio functions adequately, though the app is very limited and the unit itself only supports the FM band. The backup camera also works well and the unit will automatically switch to the camera provided the reverse sensing wire on the unit's wiring harness is connected to a wire in the car that gets +12v when the car is put in reverse. The camera has 12 bright white LEDs which come on when the camera is activated (I connected the camera's power to the +12V line to the reverse light) which makes backing in the dark easier. I use a stand-alone Sirius-XM receiver for most of my listening while driving so the Aux-in function is important to me. When I was using this, whenever I switched to another input (the radio for example) the audio from the Aux-in would continue to play through the left side speakers unless I turned off the XM receiver. When I contacted Podofo regarding this, it took a week for them to give me a response (after having to send them 2 different emails so they could verify the unit I received),. I was told that the unit I ordered did not have the Aux-in function, despite the product description specifically stating it has support for it. The unit also has a limited equalizer in the sound settings which includes a HiFi switch which drastically increases the Bass output of the unit, however this function seems to turn on and off randomly and trying to either turn it on or off while driving can be a hazard. The GPS functions well, however you will need to download offline maps or tether your phone to the unit using a WIFI hotspot. The mirror link feature uses a 3rd party app and occasionally drops connection to the phone while using the USB (Galaxy Note 8) but if tethered using the WIFI hotspot appears to be more stable. Bluetooth audio from my phone is extremely low and essentially worthless when paired to the unit, but pairing my phone to any other bluetooth speaker/headphone or even the original factory radio, the audio was just fine. I have not tried using the unit to make and receive calls via bluetooth with my phone so can't speak to the quality there. I also have not tried the steering wheel buttons since I did not connect the wiring. The touch screen does seem to have a few glitches where touches don't always seem to register quite right. When it came to the installation, the wiring was simple enough, though the mounting in my 2014 Subaru Forester requires some additional hardware (which I have ordered separately but have not yet received). The manual that came with the unit is printed so small as to be virtually worthless unless you have a good magnifier. Final thoughts - you can change the launcher to a 3rd party one available on the Play Store which will make the unit appear and function more like a dedicated car head unit, but the installed firmware is severely lacking. The unit reports that the Android version is 9.1but the API level indicates that the unit is in reality running Android 6.0

Difficult to setup, settings reset on boot
I've gotten further and updated my rating. I'm able to use most of the features now, switching on the accessory key, reverse, headlights, and pressing a mock version of steering wheel controls. I'm working on customizing the appearance and hook up OBDII with car settings. Many photos in the reviews do not match what you see on the device. Lots of Chinese characters in various spots under the hood. Weird English phrases. Changing boot animation shows working preview, saves, but isn't shown during boot. Car settings say that I need to set the radio in a car - but says no original vehicle function. Power button on tablet itself seems to be for mute. Runs on Android 9.1 8227L Boot up: Resets to 24 hour clock. Keyboard changes to Chinese. Doesn't show custom animation Setup Tips: Power on: Yellow + Red to 12 volt positive, Black to 12 volt negative Fuse: At least 20 Amps (15 amps for 4*50W speaker. 1 Amp for Device+Backup Camera) Factory Password: 8888. Engineering test debugging: 26959910. Steering wheel controls: KEY/KEY 2 are same. Wire up 1 to 5k Ohm resistor to ground. It was able to tell the difference between 1/18/27/39/56/68/82/100/120/150. Custom Logo: 1024x600 24-bit BMP file. Go into android settings to change Chinese keyboards to US English.

Great unit, good price and easy install!
I purchased this head unit and I was a little worried at first, due to all the reviews I've read... Good and bad. The shipping came when described.... I purchased the aftermarket stereo wiring harness z and I am glad I did. So do your self agfavor and buy one for your install! After that the install wassimplez just connect the colors from harness to harness. It sounds great, looks great and is very responsive... I ended up getting the unit with 2 gig and 32 ram and I'm thankful I did... I did have to cut and modify my dash to fit the double din stereo, but with a dremelnit was no problem. I wish every install was this painless. There's no AM radio.. m the buttons on the left are not lit up at night... The usb cords that are included are not fast charging... For the price (I purchased it on Amazon day, so even cheaper) I am very happy... I've found name brand with the same specs and it's close to 500$. I would recommend and buy again... Hopefully, it lasts long...

Decent value.
Just installed. Haven't used all of the functions. If you have a small diameter antenna connector, you need an adapter. Sound is good and has a cool equalizer screen. It is not as loud as I probably shouldn't have it at anyway, but very adequate. Not running an amp so it would get louder no doubt. I think it will be a good upgrade to a 20 year old vehicle.
