I never write reviews but hope this helps someone. I had my gallbladder removed since 2002 or so and ever since have needed to be on cholostyrimine for excess bile and have been living on over 8 Imodium a day since then with no help. Constant diarrhea and always worried to go out in public without looking for where bathrooms are located and skipped alot of plans going out in general. Missed so many things with friends & family for decades. Ibs-d is what my GI Dr has stated. Dicyclomine for cramps. I started taking this for 1 week now and have even gone out to eat on day 4 and ate some foods I usually stay away from. For the past 6 days i have had normal movements and no diarrhea. Not to be graphic but this stuff has changed my life. Its only week one, & ill edit this or add another review in a month. Oh, also told I have leaky gut. Lastly, yes i have had colonoscopy's every 4-5yrs for past 30 years. Try this supplement if you suffer as I have been for so long. Good luck!

Tributyrin is a highly absorbable triglyceride that releases butyrate through enzymatic action. Butyrate is a short chain fatty acid that supports gut health providing energy (fuel) to colonocytes. Low level of butyrate is associated with inflammatory conditions in GI tract, dysbiosis (prevalence of harmful bacteria over the beneficial ones), and leaky gut (the condition very common among aging Western populations). Tributyrin has been clinically tested, though the scope of human clinical trials is limited compared to animal studies. There is preliminary evidence from both animal and human studies supporting its efficacy for gut health, but research is ongoing. My personal experience with this product is very positive. It is best taken with meal or with some healthy fats like avocado or a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil. I did not notice any side effects even though I am quite sensitive. This product is of excellent quality and highly recommended. The price is also very reasonable for a clinically tested product.
