Awesome Magetic Screen Door
I wish I would have purchased one of these three years ago. We moved and built a brand new home close to our home town. From the beginning of moving in, we had issues with flies in the area. Every time I would cook something on the grill the flies would come around. When I would open the back door several would come into the house. I saw the advertisement of the magnetic screen doors on TV and decided to purchase one at Bed Bath and Beyond. When I installed it I realized that it was way too big for my back door so I started looking on Amazon. This particular brand had great reviews and it had various sizes and colors to choose from. I was sold and purchased one. It was a few days before Memorial Day when I purchased it and hoping it would come because I would be grilling on that Monday off. I came in in only one day thanks to Amazon's excellent service. I unpacked everything and notice one feature that the advertised TV version didn't have. This version had Velcro for installing all around the entire door. The TV version had you install Velcro in only certain areas. Installation was a breeze. The Velcro installation around the door frame took me about 10 minutes. When I put the magnetic screen on the Velcro I noticed that the length of the screen was about 1 inch to long. I ended up folding the bottom and stapling it, but later discovered that you could fold it from the top of screen. The magnets in the opening did not close all of the way. By loosing up the sides made a better fit. It did take about 3 weeks for the screen to close properly with no open areas around the magnets. At time I used to the push pins that came with to permanently secure it to my door frame. I received several tips from the company after the purchase and one was to use a hair dryer to get all of the creases out of the screen where it was folded. I decided to just let nature take its course. The screen works perfectly! Very well made, stronger than the TV version. I've grilled several times and not once did any flies come into my home when opening the back door. I did have a few other questions about the product and the company responded very quickly when I contacted them. This magnetic screen door is very well made and would highly recommend it! Thank you Sentry!!

Good product with one small aggravation..
This is a very good screen! I like it much better than the "as seen on TV" one I had last year. I used the pushpins to mount it, as my landlord doesn't allow adhesives on painted surfaces. It was very stiffly creased by the packaging, and I thought it would be a pain to hang. No, just used the pushpins to secure the thing, and revisited about an hour later. Adjusted it, and it was all good. Then I decided that it would look better if the edge of the screen abutted the beading in the door jamb, instead of covering it. So I moved it inward about 1/2" on both sides. I pinched up the excess and hammered it down with a pin. It hung nicely and closed all the way down. Then, there was an aggravation... I had the front door closed while I was hanging the screen. (Because the screen wasn't there yet, and winged critters all over because Spring!) Job done, I wanted back in, of course. The doorknob was so close, yet so far away.... I had my tack hammer, a watering can, and a kitten on one arm. I tried to pry my fingers between the magnetic no-gap closure. Not happening... strong magnets...no gaps. I pressed harder, and the screen stuck to my metal front door, and I chased the *unopened* magnets around for awhile before finally dropping my armload and grasping both sides of the screen material to open it. I was wishing for a tab of some kind, to pull it open from the outside. It was almost a deal-breaker, that. But, I had an idea to put tie-backs up, threaded from outside-in, so I could have the curtains open when I left the house. Problem solved. :) Overall, I am very pleased with this screen,. I love that it really does close all the way down without gaps. It takes quite a stiff wind to blow it open, unlike what I had before. It would rather close to itself after said wind, than stick to my metal front door... bonus! I love that you can order the size you need. That all said, I think a little pull-tab or two on the magnetic edges so you can get back into your house would be helpful. Otherwise, easy to make tie-backs or some such for yourself and enjoy.

Better than the "as seen on TV" version
I too, have previously used and liked the mesh screens, but knew they were meant to last one season and be tossed. I was intrigued when I saw this one advertised, and that it touted a lifetime warranty. Upon opening the package, it was obvious, this was no average mesh screen. This is a much higher quality unit, with better and stronger magnets. It went up with ease, and is working beautifully so far. I cannot comment to the longevity of this product yet, as we have had it installed less than 2 weeks. But so far, I am very pleased with the quality and ease of use of this one. UPDATE: I recently had to contact customer service because my screen started coming apart in the middle, and would not hold together correctly. I sent pictures as requested, and it was determined to be a factory defect. The company promptly sent me out a replacement screen. Because I did not want to wait, I opted for a different color. When it arrived, it was found to be even better quality then my previous screen; it feels more durable. The ugly valance at the top was also missing, which was fine with me. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this product, and the company that backs up their "lifetime Warranty".

Very easy install
Great bang for the buck and it add security in regards to added privacy keeping prying eyes from seeing inside. What's really cool is the ability to just walk into and through the screen and it magnetically closes behind you.

Pet Owners Be Aware
Installation was easy and this worked for about two months. The first problem is that the "pet friendly" panel at the bottom catches the wind and will on occasion not close due to the wind pushing on the plastic panel. The second problem is the plastic panel's stitching failed and eventually the panel completely dislodged from its anchor.

Sentry vs Magzo
I needed two screens and, based on the reviews, could not decide between the Sentry and the Magzo, so I bought one of each. I have just finished installing them and so can’t give a durability assessment, but i do have some purchase and installation suggestions, as well as some comparisons. PRODUCt COMPARISON I bought what was advertsed as the 36” x 80” in each brand, but they are not the same size. Out of the box the two screens look like they could have been made in the same factory, and perhaps they were, but to different specications. The screen material serms identical, as do the magbets along the closure. However, the exterior dimensions of the Sentry are 79” x 37” while the Magzo is actually 36” x 80” as advertised. The only other difference i noticed between them was that the Sentry had a couple of weights on the bottom edge, which presumably makes it less likely to be affected by wind. The tacks included are even the same, although the Sentry ones come in a nice little plastic box while the Magzo is in cardboard. In general the Sentry people put more effort into the packaging than Magzo. INTALLATION The two brands give different installation instructions. Sentry advises putting the velcro tape on the door framre and then attaching the screen to it. Magzo recommends putting the tape on the screen and then peeling off the backing to expose the sticky part as you install it. I used the Magzo method because it looked easier to install with one person. In retrospect I would advise use the Magzo approach for another reason, at least in an installation where the screen is not going to have excess material inthe width. If you are going to have a screen that does not have excess width, you need to be able to see as you stick the tape on how taught the screen is. In my case I changed where i put the tape to make the screen flat. If i had installed the tape first I would have put it in a different position and there would have been a couple of eaxtra inches of material in the width. PURCHSE CONSiDERATIONS First of all, i would suggest buying a screen like these two, which have a lot of magnets on the closure and vervro all the way around. A few months ago I bought from a “local” merchant — OSH — on the theory that Amazon is taking over the world, destroying local businesses, etc. The screens from OSH were very easy to intall as the screen hung from a spring tension rod and had only a few velcro tabs to stick to the sides, and a lerge magnet holding an overlapping enclosure. The big magnet was so strong it made the screen hard to open, the rod kept falling down, and the w velcro tabs pulled away from the sides. I gave them away on Nextdoor. Second, some screens talk about being adjustable for different door sizes, but i’m not sure how that would work. Maybe you could cut the velcro strip off the sides or top and then glue it back onto the screen, but that would, at a minimum, increase your installation effort significantly. I would suggest trying to buy a screen that can be installed without such alterations. There are a lot of different screensizes abailable, so getting one that fits is best. That raises the question of what size to get for yor door. My doors were 80” x 34” and 79” x 33 inches where i wanted to install them. The sill sloped down, so the doors were nominally the same height, but i planned to install one higher on the sill than the other. So there are two things to keep in mind. The first is where you are planning to stick the velcro and the second is the size of the screen. There is a 1” boarder around the top and sides of the screen. The Sentry screen will cover, then, a 35” door opening and the Magzo a opening of 34”, with the screens flat. If the door height is 80”, neither screen is going to touch the bottom of the door, because of the velcro strip across the top. I had planned to install the screens so that the velcro strips would have been facing each other with the screen at right angles to the strips. This does not allow the width to be adjusted except by cutting the screen. I ended up attaching the velcro to the outside of the from, which let me adjust the width so the screen was flat. Unless you want to cut the screen or it fits perfectly attaching the velcro to the inside of the frame, I would recommend planning to install it on the outside, so that the screen and the velcro are in the same plane. One last point. The pins that come with these doors only work in a wooden from. My frame is metal, so I bought some 3/4” pan head black sheet metal screws to secure the top and sides. I only put them on one of the doors— im going to see how the velcro holds up on the other one for now. If you do this, br careful the screen does get wrapped up in your drill bit and be sure to drill a hole nearly as big as the screw, as metal is much less forgiving than wood. I didn’t get washers, but I would recommend using them, as the holes in the screen borders may end up being bigger than the screw head.

Speaking of Gazebo ...
I got this for the self-closing system to customize our Lowes Allen + Roth gazebo. Previously I made something similar with fiberglass rods and magnets but it was heavy and kept ripping through. The entire screen door is quite pricey for just the closure part, but I did not want black and Sentry had beige. Well, it's really more yellow than beige as you can see from the photo of the gazebo beige alongside the Sentry color. It is very nice quality. Thick screening. Comes with everything you need to put it up in a doorway. All I needed was the magnetic strip, however. For those who can sew, here's what I did. I cut apart the screen from the magnetic tape, taking it apart at the top because the two sides need to separate when opening up the gazebo. I sewed them to a salvaged zipper from a previous gazebo screen (which the dog had gone through, see cute photo). Now the magnetic closure zips to the gazebo screen curtains. I found a way to secure it to the gazebo top. I added buttons as convenient "doorknobs" and shoe string pulls. Works quite well and so much more convenient than unzipping and zipping the gazebo all day long.

Great fit, good quality!
Worked really well on my metal framed apartment balcony sliding door. Two things I wish were improved: 1. There aren't any magnets at the bottom edge, so it's always open a crack and 2. There's no way of pulling the split open, when I'm outside I need to poke my finger through the magnets to pull the screen open.

Good quality, easy install.
I bought this to replace an older magnetic screen and was pleasantly surprised by how much better this one is! Very sturdy without being stiff, fits my door perfectly - so glad you can order in different sizes, I got the single door size (36” x 83”). Very easy installation, and it doesn’t have any gaps like the last one did. It closes very quietly too. The mesh screen is very robust and small enough to keep even the fruit flies out, yet it allows the fresh air in. It’s also small dog approved! My two wee ones easily push their way in and out with no issues. Same price as the last one I bought at $30, but much improved IMO. I’m so happy with this purchase, and I definitely recommend!

Best fly netting for doors.
I've bought many fly nets for doors, which get destroyed by my Mastweiller.Found this one,I did think another weak net.It arrived, opened it up and noticed how stronger than the others, installed it with easy to follow instructions via website. Its been up longer than the others(a week)and my dog hasn't damaged it by running through it plus the magnet joint is strong and covered with no gaps for bugs to squeeze in.Perfect, strong and easy to fit.
