Ninja® Foodi® Smart XL 6-in-1 Indoor Grill & Air Fryer, Black/Silver, FG551

I was talking to a coworker about how I wish I could grill at home, but living in an apartment in the city without a balcony or dedicated space outside makes that impossible. They mentioned this machine and wow I wish I knew about this sooner! It cooks proteins in a way where I look forward to eating them. It is no longer a chore to find something healthy to cook. This has no smoke, is easy to clean, and super fast process to cook. You will not be disappointed.

Awesome ninja. So far I cooked, bacon, hamburgers, thick steaks and salmon fillet. All came out perfect with little effort. Used highest temperature on broil, lowered towards the end to 450. It marks well, sear great and everything was juicy. This unit is very easy to use, very intuitive, easy to control. Clean up? Just rinse or soak the dripped crusted pan and dishwasher does the rest. Wipe the rest as needed but there is no mess. Now, this thing does not smoke but still produces cooking smell so use it under the hood or you house will smell . Can't wait to make my sweet potato fries in it . Honestly. It does replace oven for daily cooking. Money well spent. Great price. Couldn't be happier.

Love this grill. It comes with a lot of instructions so be prepared to read (I suggest you take the time) but it worked fabulous. I made 4 bone in chicken thighs in about 20 minutes- possibly less. The skin was very crispy but not burnt. I used the Grill function and it cooks quickly I would say use the thermometer it comes with if you are cooking meat on Grill or be prepared to have your food cook in less time than you might think. I will update my review with a video next time I use it. I am thoroughy impressed. Clean up is pretty easy also. It needs space when it operates as it does blow out heat but nothing like an actual grill. Can't wait to use it again!

I read the reviews before purchasing and everyone is correct about the thermometer not working, but I have noticed that if you follow the cooking temps and times that are recommended everything cooks very well. So far I have air fried pork chops, I have air fried homemade potato wedges and I grilled a few pieces of chicken. Everything came out really good. I was especially impressed by how well it cooked the meats. The pork just melted in your mouth and the chicken was juicy and delicious. The potato wedges were crispy and cooked perfectly with the recommended time and temp. I have seen a lot of reviews saying it's not a smokeless cooking experience but if you read the instructions it clearly states you should not use cooking oils such as olive oil or vegetable oil for a smokeless cooking experience. I tested it out by coating the pork and the chicken, very lightly (tossing them in a bowl) with olive oil and I had a smokeless cooking experience. So I assume people are just using too much oil if they are getting a lot of smoke. The machine it's self is slightly smaller than my small microwave, so it was a little bigger then I expected. I would say it's easy to use when the instructions are read properly. I've always had trouble cooking meats on the stove top, they never come out perfectly. I would recommend this for air frying and grilling especially if you're someone who is not particularly good at cooking meat. Update: I have been using the machine for a few months now and I had noticed anything, like meat that is very greasy will make the grill smoke heavily. I recommend cleaning the top circular smoke screen after every use for a smokeless experience. It is hard enough to clean after one use but I have noticed that they sell extra smoke screens on here so they can easily be replaced if not cleaned. I have also seen inserts for the bottom pan that I'm seriously considering purchasing because if you don't have a dishwasher cleaning this machine after use is a bit of a chore. I also recommend using the grill brush that was included. Trying to use a regular sponge on the grill makes it nearly impossible to clean properly. The grill brush makes it so much easier.

I used the Grill for the first time tonight. Something simple like hamburgers. Really this grill is very easy to use, it basically does every thing on its own. But make sure you push the smart thermometer all the way in the machine until you hear it click. I had to figure this out on my own after several minutes.The Instructions say select preset and then the unit will default to beef, but there was no preset any where to be found. I thought mine grill had a factory defect until I double checked everything. Glad I did, the thermometer wasn't getting good conection.As soon as I pushed it all the way in and heard the click the preset appeared on the screen,I pushed preset then Beef appeared by default.I choose the desired doneness. Shut the lid and the grill begain preheating. I inserted the prop into the hamburger patty, when the grill was ready it said insert food. I placed the burgers on the grill and Wow! they sizzle,just like putting them on our outside grill (as you can tell I still had some doubt about this) I close the lid and the Ninja Foodi Smart grill took over from there,showing me each step of doneness from rare to med well as I had requested. Within 8 mins. it beeped and said remove food. Still doubtful I open the lid. Oh my this is Totally Amazing, I said! The burgers were grilled perfectly. Just the right amount of doneness and so most not at all dry. The flavor was everthing you would expect from grilling and more.Here we were with a snow storm outside having a perfectly grilled, mouth watering, delicious hamburger right here in my kitchen. And there was absolutely no smoke. Now what more could you ask for from a grill. Oh can I add this grill was super easy to clean. I just wiped it all out with a paper towel and washed it in hot water and some dish detergent. I could have put it in the dish washer but it was so easy to clean by hand. Yes I am a very satisfied customer. Looking forward to more grilling on my Ninja Foodi Smart XL Grill.

If you buy one thing this year, make it this grill. Seriously. I'm not easy to impress, but this thing exceeded my expectations. It's reliability is solid. My only complaint is that it takes a while to preheat. It feels like forever sometimes, but once it's ready, it cooks beautifully. The food comes out crispy, and the crust it puts on chicken is incredible. The size is also ample, I was able to grill three sliced bell peppers all at once with beautiful grill marks. With how hot it's been where I live, I had no interest in standing outside over a grill in the middle of summer. This lets me get the same results without dealing with the heat. It's definitely a little loud while preheating and cooking, but for me, that's a small tradeoff for how good the food turns out.

10/10 As a single guy, this is a game changer. I can take fully frozen chicken breasts right out the freezer and it'll have them fully cooked in about 25 minutes. I would *strongly* recommend getting a red silicone drip mat, thin wire grill rack to sit on top of the red silicone mat and a silicone bristle wand brush thing. Cleaning this airfryer can get laborious if you use the grill grate that comes with it. Get the 3 add-ons and cleaning becomes a breeze :)

I really like this air fryer, and so far I've tried it with French fries, chicken nuggets, steak, pork chops, and chicken. I grilled the steak, pork chops, and chicken, and they turned out very well. One thing I would recommend is checking the temperature of your meat before it is completely done using a handheld temperature gauge. The chicken and steak turned out exactly how I like them, with the grill marks. I also like the internal temperature thermometer and digital display, plus the fact that it even tells you when to turn over the meat. With this air fryer, I can pretty much avoid using the oven. I would buy again!

I had originally planned to buy a convection oven but all the reviews said they were hard to clean. So I bought this instead and haven't regretted it for a moment. It is super easy to clean. I use it to cook all sorts of things and prefer it now to both my skillet, instant pot, and oven as everything cooks so fast. It's a small chamber so it only takes a few minutes to heat up and the food cooks twice as fast using other methods. Speed of cooking wasn't even one of my motivations for buying it but it turned out to be the biggest selling point. My favorites so far are air-fried broccoli (10 minutes including warm-up) air-fried snap peas, grilled salmon, french fries, chicken wings, chicken breasts. I also have used it to cook pancakes (there's a flat tray for that) and just used the air-fry setting. One feature I really love is the built-in thermometer. You just tell it you are cooking chicken, put the thermometer in the meat, and wait for it to beep when it's done. No more running back and forth to the kitchen checking if the meat is done. I highly recommend this product.

Me encantó esta parrilla, ya la he utilizado para hacer costillas, papas fritas, cortes, hamburguesas, hotdogs y todo ha quedad super bien, sin duda una compra buenísima para quienes les guste asar sin necesidad de usar carbón.
