I love the cd but when I got the cd, the cover was cracked

Okay, I'll be really honest!I only got this CD to here JOHN WAITE'S biggest hit to date, the greatest '80's break-up song of all time, MISSING YOU.Whenever I hear MISSING YOU, it brings back some great memories of real love and real togetherness with cold and unfortunate reality of "that's the past and it's all over now". This great "blue-eyed" soulful song, MISSING YOU, still pulls on my ol' heartstrings many years later.However, imagine my total and big surprise as I fondly remembered and started happily singing along to JOHN WAITE'S other big hit off the the mid-1980's VISION QUEST movie soundtrack, CHANGE.Plus, you get to hear just a taste of WAITE'S other musical efforts in rock and pop over a 20 plus year musical career.Oh! This one's most definitely a keeper! Big time!

Only liked one song, " Missing you'

WOW! It's a wonderful release, hits just keep coming on this one! John Waite is undoubtedly one of the best balladeer around : Bryan Adams may be regarded as the king of ballads, but John Waite can certainly give him a run for the money! This CD has almost has no weak track to talk of! An amazing track 7 "Act Of Love"is my favourite track & hence the title of my review. Who can forget the classics/hits "Straight To Your Heart", "When I See You Smile", "How Did I Get By Without You", "Missing You", "Change", "Back On My Feet", "Downtown", "Act Of Love"...(Um um um the list is neverending)! The inner sleave notes give life to the music, excellent CD by far! When is Volume Two coming out? Thank you John for the beautiful music all these years! A highly recommended listening.

I'm not an overall fan of Waite's music.I bought the cd for Missing You after my old Waite cd disappeared. I just have to have that song.I also really like Change. (I remember how I liked the model's hair in the video back in the 80s.)

Hard to believe John has been around as long as he has. I got to see him in Tooele UT the first time at the PitStop (Car Wash) in August 2015. The sound was not great and he freelanced a lot of his own songs (did not sound like album versions), but worth the time. The one time Matchbox 20 guitarist Kyle Cook who played long and boring solos.The album is great because it takes you back to those times and days. My power years (18-21) were in the late 70's early 80's, and his music was dominant.

この人の声って、不思議ですね。淡々と歌っているように聞こえるのに、とてもエモーショナルで説得力がある。BAD ENGRISHからファンになったのですが、それ以降の作品で、その傾向が顕著になるように思います。BABYSのころは、少し力の入った歌唱もありますが、それはそれで、若さが勝っていて、良いです日本では知名度の低い人なんですが、もっといろんな人に聞いて欲しいシンガーです。最近一番の愛聴版で、すべての曲がハイクオリティーですよ

もともとは映画「True Romance」（こちらもIt's so cool!)のｻﾝﾄﾗでこのｱﾙﾊﾞﾑにも収録されている「In Dreams」を聴きまして、いい曲だなぁと思い、他の楽曲も聴いてみたくなり購入しました。夜なんかに、ひとりで静かに聴ける感じです。ただ、意外とpopで「In Dreams」のようなﾊﾞﾗｰﾄﾞ調が無いので、星５つにはしませんでした。
