For those interested in the astrology of the ancient world, Vedic Astrology or Eastern mythology,'The Nakshatras' by Dennis Harness has become a seminal text. It is also a great introduction to the qualities of the 27 lunar mansions.When interpreting a Vedic chart it is now becoming common among modern Vedic Astrologers to spend more time analysing the nakshatras in depth to understand the character and psychology of the person as well as providing greater understanding of the dasha (time)periods that the person is running. This is mainly due to Dr Harness and his colleagues who have 'revived' and brought greater understanding to this ancient knowledge.
