Returned them. Bought size 8. These were huge. But the black strap had no give and it was tighter on my feet vs the 7. I feel like these are knock offs. **Q: Are these the same as the shoes that were super popular in the 90s?** A: NOT AS EXPECTED!! Its the same style as the 90’s shoe but the bottom is slippery and made of a sort of plastic coating, the fabric part is ABSOLUTELY NOT the same fabric at all it has no good tightness my feet were sliding out the front of the shoe! Overall I am pleased with this purchase. Shoes are comfortable and easy to walk in. They are easy to throw on and look good with pants, dresses, and even shorts so I will likely wear them often. There was virtually no break in period with the black pair- they were stretchy and comfortable on day one. Hopefully they will not stretch out too much. Unfortunately, they are not the Steve Madden Slinky from the 90s.
