Only happens maybe 1 in 10 times for that specific scenario. A simple fix of just putting them both back in the case and taking them back out together will get them both working. I think the only issue I have if I feel like I am yelling, but when i ask the people around me they say I am talking normally, the earbuds cancel so much sound around it I dont even realize im not yelling **Q: i can't seem to get both earbuds to work at the same time, they only will pair one at a time.** A: I found the answer to a lot of these. The answer is the BT Transmitter chip the phones/music equipment uses. Read for full explanation. I'll tell you that I believe it's the device more than the headset itself, and here is why I think this. I use these Skull Candy buds on 5 different devices. M1 Mac Mini. No issues (other than the crappy Bluetooth range that the mini is notorious for.) iPhone SE 2020. No issues Avantree Bluetooth transmitter. No issues Aluratek Bluetooth transmitter I have to often do a hardware reset on the Aluratek, twice before the transmitter will see the skull candy. M11 Bluetooth transmitter Absolutely won't see them at all. I really dug into this issue with the M11 because it was a very expensive, New, Bluetooth device, it dam well should have worked. What I found, on their site in EXTREMELY SMALL writing, is that the Bluetooth chip they use is too old to work with true wireless. Apparently the older chip designs are still used by a lot of manufacturers because they are stable, and trusted, and work with most things. However, they don't work with many newer buds that use the newest tech /Codec/thingie. And some older chips don't see true wireless headsets at all. So it all boils down to which chip is in your device, and which tech your true wireless brand uses. So if its an older chip in a new phone, and you're using a earbud brand that uses slightly older tech, it may work fine. It's a little complicated to get them paired to both each other and your phone (I have an android phone, and these list themselves as separate Bluetooth items in it), but it was worth it. They have great sound, don't mind when you put one of them away mid-use, and last for hours and hours! I've only had a battery fully discharge once, and I wear one all day at work every day. They're comfortable, though I find that talking makes one of them wiggle out of my ear pretty easily (I don't think this is a fault of the product necessarily, as the shape of one of my ears just seems to have the wrong angle to use with these - the other stays put nicely). The only thing I find annoying is that while they both have a ton of different touch controls, only ONE can turn the volume up, and the other can ONLY turn the volume down. Which is only an issue if my phone isn't in my pocket - and since I use it for nearly everything at work, that's not a deal breaker for me. It easily could be for someone else though. These also have very good range, easily at least 30ft and in open spaces it can go farther sometimes. One thing I have noticed that is a negative is that if you buy a dark color pair and have dry skin, you will see dust on the rubber when you take them out, which can be a bit gross looking, but isn't really the manufacturers fault. Ambient mode is... interesting. It can make quiet sounds very loud - my dehumidifier that I normally barely notice sounds like a boiling kettle with it on! But if you're around someone who tends to mumble, you'll never make out what they're saying without taking these out entirely.
