The "tinted" was added to the packaging to help customers identify the correct product that they want. Will this reduce redness without giving a pale look?** A: I don't know how it would appear on his face. My skin is very pale/white and the product made me look orange and darkened my complexion. The tint that looked orange on me might make your husband look orange red. I also did not like the way the sunscreen settled in lines and wrinkles and made me look older than I look in reality. I've gone back to my old standby - Obagi Sun Shield, Broad Spectrum SPF 50, matte finish, untinted. It works better than anything I've found. **Q: Tinted means what?** A: Coming out of the tube, the product appears dark brown. When applied, there is a slight tint.
