Yankz! Laces - Elastic No Tie Shoelaces,One Size Fits All, No Tie Shoe Laces (Grey)

All I gotta say is: Take an EASY thing like lacing your shoes and turn it into an over engineered product. While I am not a runner I am a walker (do about 5 miles a day, 6 days a week on pavement). I've been using the other brands of similar laces for years, mostly Locklace but I'm not stuck to any brand. Anyway just got 2 new pair of running shoes and figured I'd give these a shot since they were available in the color I wanted and quickly via Prime. I have been fighting with these for the last hour to get them properly or close to properly adjusted. What a P.I.T.A. They might be the best thing since sliced bread but geez, what a pain. I ended up taking all my Locklace "hardware" from my old shoes and just keeping the laces from these for the color. 5 minutes I was laced up and ready to go. I just don't see the locgic behing this product vs. the "other brands" of elastic laces.

These laces are a little complicated, it's hard to get them on the shoe to the right tension, at first it was too tight and I had to basically undo everything to loosen it. Also I don't like that I have to cut off the ends. The instructions say I need to do something to insure the ends don't fray but they don't tell me what that might be.I'm using them anyway so they do keep me from having to tie laces, but I think it could be done without all the plastic tabs hiding the ends in my shoe.

Bought these for my 10 year old son. Within two days he had lost a piece. Yankz never stayed put. Not sure if we threaded them wrong because the directions weren't very clear. They might work for an adult, but I wouldn't recommend them for an active kid.

-Broke within a month of normal use.-Loop would pop out of hook almost every day, at least once.-Not as snug as ordinary laces.Do not buy.
