Will this motherboard support ryzen 5 3600? as using third-party sites to judge the compatibility it's telling me that it will need a bios update

Yes it will support that processor. I am using it with Ryzen 7 3700X, which is from the same family as the 3600.

Does this support tpm 2

The board has BIOS support for TPM 2.0 so no fudges required for Windows 11. I have it running perfectly happily with Windows 11 and TPM 2.0 without any hardware added (although there is an internal header for a hardware TPM 2.0 solution for most people this is NOT a requirement).

Does it support 4 channel memory or is it 4 slot dual channel?

No. This MB does NOT support 4-channel memory. Only dual channel, across the 4 slots.

?will a ryzen 5 5500 work with this out of the box

Same question asked many times - I have posted a previous reply. Board needs to be F14 BIOS or later - but is easy to flash so it supports the 5500
