Great meter
I’ve been using the Fluke 1587 FC for a while now in both troubleshooting and preventive maintenance work, and it’s honestly become one of those tools I reach for daily. The biggest advantage for me is having both a full-featured digital multimeter and an insulation tester in one unit. It saves a ton of space in the bag and eliminates the need to carry separate meters when I’m working on motors, VFDs, or long cable runs. Switching between standard measurements and insulation testing is quick and straightforward. Build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Fluke—solid, rugged, and clearly designed for real-world use. The case feels durable, the rotary switch is firm and precise, and the leads seat securely. I’ve used it in less-than-ideal environments (dust, heat, job sites), and it’s held up without any issues. On the technical side, insulation testing is reliable and accurate. Having multiple test voltages (50V up to 1000V) makes it flexible depending on the application, and the readings stabilize quickly. The polarization index (PI) and dielectric absorption ratio (DAR) features are a big plus if you’re doing deeper diagnostics on motor windings or insulation degradation—it’s not just basic testing, it actually gives you useful data to work with. The multimeter functions are just as solid. Voltage, resistance, continuity, and current measurements are all stable and accurate. The True RMS capability is especially important when dealing with non-linear loads or VFD outputs, and it performs exactly how I’d expect in those situations. The wireless “FC” functionality is something I didn’t think I’d use much, but it’s actually come in handy. Being able to log data or monitor readings remotely through the Fluke Connect app is useful, especially when you’re working alone or need to step away from the equipment for safety. Battery life has been decent even with regular insulation testing, and I haven’t noticed any excessive drain. The unit does get slightly warm during extended insulation tests, but nothing outside normal operating range. If I had to nitpick, it’s not a lightweight meter, and the price is definitely on the higher end—but for what it combines into one tool, I think it’s justified. This is clearly aimed at professionals who need reliability and accuracy, not occasional DIY use. Overall, this is a dependable, well-built piece of equipment that does exactly what it’s designed to do without any surprises. If you’re working in maintenance, industrial, or electrical troubleshooting and need both insulation testing and multimeter functions, this is a solid investment.

Fluke is the benchmark!
To be honest with you there's lots of different brands you can choose from but when you hear the word fluke I think you know what you're getting at least I do or you should if you're a person looking at these type of things I've been in the industry for over 40 years and have used many different types of measuring devices etc. well it is very difficult to say why these are the benchmark given that they all pretty much do the same thing it comes down to quality and also the fact that you can trust what the readings are many other tools that do the same thing work the same look the same have the same functions etc and at the end of the day I'm probably going to give you very similar readings but when it comes down to trusting the tool because you have to I've always chosen fluke because they've never let me down I had to buy this one due to some high voltage needs and the ability to do isolation testing and it is quite an easy to use the app feature is kind of neat haven't really had to use it but I do see the appeal. Don't be shy by the price because this thing will last you a lifetime still have a fluke 82 rocking hard got it brand new back in the early '90s late 80s. It's now my youngest son's first meter another fluke fan has been born!

First Class IR tester
This is a brand new and well packaged and especially functional IR tester and meter. Its pricy but compared to other sellers it's a bargain. Plus It's a usa made one and the bag (covering) isn't the bulky blow molded plastic. Recommended for any serious user who value quality items. It seems durable and the readings are accurate. Its feature packed and versatile compared to tye previous case.

Needs amp readings!
Would be perfect if it could have had the ability to hook up wire amp clamp.

It’s a Fluke. If you know you know.
Fluke is the standard for DVOM’s and related. Can’t go wrong with Fluke.

Megger for the win!
This thing is a life saver when performing insulation tests on resistor banks and motors. Instead of ripping everything apart just disconnect the leads of the windings and put your probes on and run that insulation test.

Fluke 175 statt Fluke 1587 FC (Warehouse)
Bestellt habe ich ein Fluke 1587 FC (655 EUR) über Warehouse Deals (410 EUR). Bekommen habe ich ein Fluke 157 (230 EUR). Retourenkontrolle? Scheinbar keine. Die zwei Messsgeräte sehen nicht ähnlich aus. Unfassbar. Meine Bewertung (auch wenn unpassend) geht an Amazon (Warehouse).
