FANTASTIC!!!!! I was going to go out on a cruise ship and watch the tall ships parade I didn't want to take my huge $700 binoculars that weighs close to 5 pounds ..... I wanted something small to hang around my neck all day...... the reviews seemed good and it was zoomable and on sale for $129.99 ... I figured what could I lose .... so I bought them. around the yard they were really impressive I could zoom in on a leaf 300 feet away and it was quite clear! I took them out on the ship and was shocked at how well they performed.... many people on the ship were using telephoto lenes on their camera but could not see what I was seeing... with the naked eye I could see the old beautiful ships and it was great... but with these binoculars I could zoom in and read the ships name... I could see all the men in the crows nests and standing on the sail arms.... I zoomed all the way to 24X and I could see the men were wearing striped shirts and had mustaches ... I could see their faces and even see their lips moving..... this was absolutely beyond belief!!!! I started telling people near me look at the gold leaf on the side of the ship.. look at the bow they have a mermaid for a gold figurehead.... no one else could see it.. when the ships were tiny dots on the horizon these binoculars allowed me to see the ships flags so I knew the next ship was a French ship or a Swedish ship .... it gave me the most enjoyable day.... all those other poor saps only saw a fraction of those beautiful tall ships. the binoculars were light and hung around my neck for 12 hours.... they didn't bother me at all... very light and easy to carry! if you're on the fence. BUY THEM!!!!!

As other reviewers have noted, it's not the quality product you would expect from Nikon. Plastic, light weight feeling but features are what sold me. I wanted a compact bino that had a high level of magnification and this fit the bill. More expensive than competing models but at least the zoom magnification seemed accurate. Clarity of the vision is not remarkable, just acceptable. Seems expensive for what the product delivers though.

These are pretty good binoculars for the size andprice. In normal daylight conditions they work really well and the zoom is incredibly handy. When using the zoom at dusk, they are darker than a higher quality pair but for the price and size you can't beat these I took these on Safari in Africa and was absolutely thrilled with them and the only time I had any diminished quality over the expensive pair the guide had was at dusk

Great value for your money, has a good amount of zoom although I would have given it a 5 because I just wanted more. Lightweight and super compact for travel. I used this on my trip to Antarctica and it worked great.

These are excellent binoculars. I bought 5 other cheaper pairs and spent about as much, whilst circling around them. Yes, they have some plastic parts and may not survive being runover by your tractor. But They fit the bill for close to medium-longrange observation with focus and clarity in all daylight conditions. Learn from my mistakes, i beg you. Save your cash and just by these

Case Ripped within first half hour, cheaply made and really hard to focus. View was really jerky used nikons before & was impressed but these don't live up to the Nikkon standard!

I purchased these to replace my 3-decades old Bausch and Lomb Legacy Zoom 8-15 x25 binoculars. These are made of lightweight but very sturdy plastic and weigh an ounce and a quarter less than my 8x25 Nikon Trailblazer waterproof binoculars, which are also made of durable plastic, as are most binoculars these days. I am hooked on the zoom aspect, which is much, much easier to control than the zoom on my old Legacy binoculars. There is very little weight around the neck, which makes these binoculars ideal for long days of bird-watching and other aspects of nature-watching, such as when one is on a hike or out at sea. While these are not waterproof, per se, they do come with eye cup covers that attach to the strap and a padded durable plastic pouch. I really do not understand other buyers’ comments about the plastic being “cheap”, after all, the purpose is to provide a highly durable and lightweight product that performs extremely well, and that is exactly what Nikon has done. I highly recommend these.

Poor build quality and when you zoom in the clarity goes down significantly

Ottimo binocolo, compatto con leva per lo zoom 8X24 e una buona nitidezza. Alla massima estensione richiede mano ferma. Ho preferito pagarlo un poco di più ed affidarmi alla Nital che è il distributore ufficiale del marchio Nikon. Sono pienamente soddisfatto.

Excellent, so easy to use & great value

Compact binoculars that are easy to focus with enough zoom for most viewing. The clarity of the image is excellent especially compared to some cheaper ones I checked out.
