Our dog had a growth in their ear and would try to scratch it a lot but hated his plastic cone. This worked great (for about two weeks) before he figured out if he smushed his face against the grass he could scratch his ear because the soft cone would bend back. He started doing this on the carpet as well so he basically got too smart. In addition he also figured out how to maneuver his leg to scratch it as well so we had to go back to a hard cone. He got blood on it (from scratching) and it wouldn’t wash out by spot washing, it stained it. Dirt seemed to wash out ok but it still didn’t look right. Overall I would recommend this for short bursts to give your dog a break from a hard cone (and hopefully they don’t figure it out).

Overall this cone is pretty, and it seems as if it would comfortable for dogs to wear.I used the size chart provided and it fit perfectly around her neck.. however it was too small to prevent her from reaching the affected area.It seemed like a great option for our shepherd mix who has been confined to a cone off and on for almost a year due to a nagging injury... and who constantly gets mistaken for a boy dog.The unboxing was a little strange. Upon unwrapping from the air tight packing.. it seemed the cone was not quite as advertised.. however after an hour or more of being open, it expanded into pretty much exactly what was described.After a few days of her wearing the cone we realized that it was not long enough to prevent her from getting to her paw.. just above her ankle.. inches away from her injury.I did not deduct a whole star for the shortness as our dog is on the tall side with long legs. Another factor in the 4 star review was that it only had two loops to fit a large collar.. which made the cone somewhat floppy on her.

I ordered this, roughly a month ago, in preparation for my cat's spay proceedure. While our beloved fur-babies typically do not enjoy the "cone of shame", we're forced to ensure their safety as they heal. That said, when this arrived, I was certain I had ordered the incorrect size (XS), as the velcrow opening appeared a bit small. To my pleasant surprise, it fit perfectly and is true to size per the item's sizing chart. As you can see from my photos, my cat does not mind the ecollar at all. What I liked most about this item is the fact it can easily be bent back during feeding times -- comfort and no strain for the pet. My only recommendation is to utilize the builtin loops. I put my cat's collar through the loops, using that as an extra measure for securness. The velcrow closure is also adjustable, providing a 1"-2" leeway, in the event one's pet has a fluffier head and/or neck. Overall, I would most certaintly purchase this again if needed.

Dog had CrCL (former known as ACL) surgery, and hard cones hurt like hell when the dog comes running at you BUT this pink and grey (''OH SHE LOOKS LIKE A DAISY LOOK AT THAT SWEET BOW!") foam cone is perfect. It is made from study memory type foam and covered in a soft fabric and the panels are scalloped. They were long and sturdy enough to keep our dog from getting to her hind leg, and soft enough to stuff her into her crate wearing it. The dog didn't seem to mind it as much as the big plastic version. If Dog wears the cone outside, it WILL get dirty.

I would have given 5 stars, However the bow unfortunately gets in the way. If the cone is not attached to a collar (which my dogs do not wear collars) The cone turns around, The bow ends up on the bottom & Gets in the way while she's walking, She ends up stepping on it. My mistake, being selfish thinking it would be cute! But I would recommend getting one without the added bow & It'd be PERFECT!! She's a shih tzu, Purchased a medium & It fits perfectly. Its flexible enough to allow her to pick her balls up & Reach water/ food. Would highly recommend, Very happy with my purchase overall.

So much better than the plastic cone the vet provided! My only criticism is the size. My little 8 pound puppy actually needed a size medium to fit around her tiny neck. According to the size chart she should be in a small. I ordered both a small and medium and the small neck opening was far too small for my Havanese puppy. It’s a great alternative to the standard cone of shame, but measure your dog’s neck carefully and don’t go by the weight of the dog in the chart.

I’ve bought every version of cone imaginable and this by far exceeds the rest. It’s comfortable and pillow-like when a sweet puppy head is laying in it. The cone is open like a flower for better vision of surroundings. I washed it in gentle cycle & dried it and it maintained its shape perfectly & looked brand new. It’s very lightweight and can be work without a collar. It’s the first cone my dog hasn’t minded. The only complaint is that it doesn’t come in a larger size. The XXXL fits my small Labrador perfectly, but would be too small for my large Labrador. A+++++ Highly recommend

Got the grey for 40# 6 mo old labradoodle after spay. Can reach paws and tail only. Connected to collar easily through fabric loops provided, but bow still ends up on bottom. NBD! This soft cone is much safer than the plastic one the vet sent home that cracked with a jagged splinter in less than one day. Seems easier and more comfortable when sleeping in crate too. Removing 1 star because it can flip when she pushes against a door or solid object.
