The pans instructions say i should only use it on low to medium heat, will it reach a hot enough temperature for searing steaks?

Is it pfoa and ptfe free? only steel used as a material?

The inside layer of the Grano Frying pan Stainless steel is made of 18/10 stainless steel; it has no coating, so totally free of PFOA/PTFE. The Grano Frying pan with the non-stick coating is also free of PFOA/PTFE.

Is this pan oven proof?

Dear Archie, Thank you for your message. We recommend the use of stainless steel cookware in oven only for finishing dishes like gratin or just keep food warm for a certain time. Does this have a lip on the top edge or the clad is cut straight and the 3 layers are not covered?

It has a protruding lip and it looks like the inner aluminium layer is not exposed.
