Does what it's supposed to do...
The Colorful Brew french press coffee maker is okay, I mean you get what you pay for right? I don't like the fact that the beaker is not removable and the part that holds the screen connector is plastic, which makes it seem unstable and not well made, but I knew that from other reviews. I do own the SterlingPro double walled stainless steel 1 liter which I've been using since Nov. 2015 and I really like that model as it does keep your brew hotter than glass or pyrex. I wanted something smaller since I mainly make 2 very large cups of dark brew for my wife and I and was planning to use the 1liter when we have guests. As I write this I'm thinking that I'm going to go back to the SterlingPro. The same day I received the Colorful Brew french coffee press my wife and I were at Marshalls and saw some french press' that, to me was made better, sturdier for just 5 dollars more so I don't know how long I'm going to use this.Had to upgrade to 4 stars. I was just a little too critical for something that works this good at the "regular" price of $49.99 which actually prompted my comparison to the SterlingPro 1 liter french press. The Colorful Brew does a good job and once I got used to the way the plastic feels I realized that this is a pretty good product. If it wasn't for the "regular" price thing I probably could've given 5 stars. The Colorful Brew french press is definitely a keeper!

Makes the perfect cup of coffee !
Works great. Easy to use. Great price. The press is easily disassembled to clean thoroughly with oxyclean/hot water and a soft sponge !Presses The water /grounds down smooth and quick.I use a Rancilio Rocky grinder set at 42 to grind the coffee beans coarse and evenly. The more consistently sized coarse grounds are the better cup it produces.Procedure: Grind desired amount of coffee to the Press. In a separate kettle Bring measured water to a boil. Take off stove. Check temp and pour into your press195-205 with a Thermapen (or other thermometer) Let sit 60sec. stir gently. Let sit 4 minutes. Press and enjoy.A+++++++ Glad I read thru different models and ended up going with this one.

Great For Cold Brewing!!!!
So far this French Press has been great for cold brewing. Not only does the handle part that holds the inner glass make for a good "measuring tool" but the fact that the glass is permanently glued/melded to the handle makes me not have to worry about it potentially slipping out and shattering. The only complaint that I have is that it doesn't come with any extra mesh filters so when you're out of them you're going to have to find more somewhere which may be difficult. Of course I've only used this for maybe a week or so, so I'll be sure to update this if things take a turn for the worse.

Love the item
Love the item. The holder keeps the glass tightly in place, lid sits tight on top, little coffee spoon :)made coffee this morning - as expected - nice , thick, strong brew...filter did not let the grinds sneak in between the glass and the mash...For those who think there is a problem because of grinds getting between the filter parts - you can unscrew the stick from filter parts - actually that would be a recommendation for the seller to put it clearly as an option for cleaning the item...If it is someplace in fine print, apparently people miss that information...

Great coffee maker. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to operate.
I greatly enjoy this press, and use it regularly. Its easily cleaned with just one screw holding it together. It doesn't feel as chintzy as other presses i've had, and makes a fine coffee. I recommend 7-9 tablespoons of coffee, and set to steep for 8-10 minutes. The stronger you want it, the linger you steep it. Its a good replacement to electric coffee makers if you only want 2-3 cups per serving. Highly recommended.EDITED: While it is overall a great product, beware! If dropped it WILL shatter.

Makes really good quality coffee! !
I basically bought this because my roommate didn't want me to use his. He thinks I'll break it & from the make of it, he's probably right. We have an automatic coffee maker but that's for a larger group get togethers. I love the quality of the Colorful Brew French press! Sturdy handle and body. The glass is thick & I can handle this well and not have to worry too too much if it'll slip inside container. It was easy to clean. Produced good tasting coffee that I can now enjoy on my off days. Now my roommate is jealous, lol

The Colorful Brew french press seems to be very well constructed and should last many years of use for when I want a great cup o
This is my first french press coffee maker so I really can't compare this to another model. The Colorful Brew french press seems to be very well constructed and should last many years of use for when I want a great cup of coffee or I run out of filters for my automatic drip coffee maker. I've used it a couple time now. And to me the coffee does taste better made with this coffee maker versus my automatic drip. Not quite as easy to remove the grounds since there is not filter, but that is the trade-off to a better tasting cup of coffee. So far I've used 1 tablespoon of coffee grounds to 1 cup of water and that works great. there maybe better ratios to use. I will experiment when I get a chance.

I have a couple other French coffee pots, but this one is the bomb. well made, light in weight, coffee is superb, coffee stays hotter longer in this pot also. such a good deal I got for the price. I really enjoy using and drinking the coffee it makes. screens are good and tight, no grounds. nice size too.
