Works good and looks good

Absolutely junk, doesn’t come with instructions on how to wire it up, the Bluetooth controller doesn’t work. Had to by pass all the wires and jump the motor with with a 12v to get the thing to work, and after two uses the gears inside immediately stripped and wouldn’t winch back in.

You get what you pay for with this little winch. It works as intended, and while I’m not sure how much it can actually pull, I bought it more for scale looks and to use as a crane winch—not for pulling my rig. For that purpose, it’s perfect. One thing to note: the winch cable could use better protection. I got poked a few times handling it, but I fixed the issue with some heat shrink tubing. Overall, it’s a decent product for the price and adds nice scale detail if that’s what you’re going for.

Needs a controller or switch to reverse the polarity

I want to give a fair review on this so the review will be long, sorry. In my case, I was ONLY getting this for the look. I thought it would look great on my Redcat Hauler. So, here is where I ran into problems. #1, mounting is very difficult due to a very tight tolerance on the motor side of the winch. So, I still have not mounted it. I will probably go another route because of the mounting difficulty and because of issue #2. My winch just does not work. I did not plan to use it anyway, it was all for looks only, but come on, atleast work a little. I thought it would be an issue with the really poorly designed wire harness. I did attempt to use the included wiring harness and remote with zero sucess. So, I bypassed that and ran a plug from the reciever to to winch itself. Still nothing. I have 3.7 volts going to the motor itself when toggled, so I know my reciever and radio are properly functioning. Also, I can run several of my other winches perfectly through this same radio/reciever/channel. The motor itself tests bad. Maybe I will fix this winch some day, and still use it for something, because it does look good. Also, the remote for this unit looks and feels nice, I will probably mess with reprogramming it to run one of my other winches. Last, will I recommend this product, or even purchase another one. Absolutely NO.
