This product is like magic. When I have mosquito bites or an itchy spot, after I apply, I am done scratching it. It has a menthol smell to it… love it

I don't really know what happened but out of the blue I became CRAZY ITCHY. Like bad. My legs and back were soooooo itchy. I was waking up 2 or 3 times at night. I tried all kinds of things but then I talked to my mom and she brought me a bottle of Sarna that was rather old. (8 years old-no joke.) She also brought me Gold Bond in the green bottle. I tried the Gold Bond first and it helped. Then I tried the Sarna. The smell is bad. So medicinal strong that it made my eyes water, my husband moved out and my children slapped me. But, it was 8 years old. So, I ordered a new bottle and let me tell you, the smell is BAD. But it seriously, seriously seriously helped stop the insane itchies. Are you so itchy that you are making yourself bleed? Are you crying from the constant itch? Try this stuff, then go shopping and watch everybody run away from you. This stuff is also good for social distancing. But in all seriousness, THIS STUFF HELPS!

It relieves itching fairly quickly. It is better than Dermends anti-itch but not as good as Cortizone-10.

Stops the itching and provides a cooling sensation on the skin when applied. I use this lotion faithfully and take it with me when traveling. I have recently had issues with skin breakouts that itch like the Dickens, but the lotion helps. I prefer to use it at night after a shower, because the cooling sensation helps calm the skin,especially when it is red and warm from a flare. Will always keep this on hand, and yes it will smell like menthol, but I love it!

Please, believe all the many reviewers who tell you that the pump doesn't work. Like most pumps, to get it started you are supposed to press down and turn. At that point the pump should pop up and start dispensing. I tried it; my daughter tried it; my husband tried it. It remains locked in place and no amount of pressing and turning will make it work. Pump technology is not rocket science folks. What is wrong with this company that they can't purchase/manufacture a working bottle pump. I tried four bottles of this (two original, one sensitive). One out of four pump worked. So you are forced to twist open the top, pull out the pump assembly and pour the stuff out, creating a bit of a mess. Or you could decant into another container. All a big pain for me. Now as far the the product is concerned, I like it. The original and the sensitive versions have very different active ingredients so I feel it is like comparing apples and oranges. Be sure to read the ingredients. My doctor recommended the sensitive for me. The camphor and other ingredient in the original are very cooling on the body and smell very strongly of camphor. Reminds me of the old Vicks. I like the smell and texture very much and since I usually use it at night, it is not a problem. Feels great on my itchy back. Don't think it has any long lasting effect against itching, but I enjoy it while it lasts. The sensitive version with different active ingredient is far less smelly and slightly less cooling, but it still has some cooling effect. I am happy with this version also for my itching back. Neither the original nor the sensitive are particularly moisturizing but that's not why I use them. I just want the relief from itching. Except for the useless pump, a good product.
