I’m 5’4 and 180-185 lbs (tummy area) what size would fit me best?

I'm 5'7 same tummy area problem, chest 36 large C/small D and I ordered the XL and plenty of room. I don't like tank tops tight on my belly area! These are soft and love them! I have the black and cranberry color

Is there a shelf-bra? Or any sort of bra/padding? I assume a strapless bra is the best for this top?

No but a bra with cross straps works just fine

Any pilling after multiple washes and wears?

Surprisingly no! I've washed and worn mine so many times and there's still virtually no defects, not even fading. My only critique of this item is that it runs large in size and is low cut, so if you want to be modest get a size smaller than what your gut is telling you.
