Some years back, a type 2 diabetes diagnosis not only impacted my eating habits but significantly impacted my choice of cooling drinks to beat the summer heat. Fresh lemon squeezed juice with sugar was one of the first favorite drinks to be cut. Since then, I have tried with no success to find a store-bought product or a recipe for lemonade that was flavorful, close to authentic and that would not cause me to shake from the sugar and carbohydrate highs. I was just about to totally give up on lemonade until a random search on Amazon brought up the ad for True Lemon Original Lemonade Drink Mix. Encouraged by the healthier ingredients list: sweetened with Stevia (and a pinch of sugar) No artificial sweeteners, flavors, or colors and reading that each packet was only 10 calories per stick packet and a low sugar amount at just 1g per packet was the decisive turning point for me! Determined to try again, I took a chance on True Lemon Original Lemonade Drink Mix and after the first gulps I was hooked. The natural stevia leaf extract sweetener combined with the real lemon juice oils combined to create a tasty, delightful, refreshing lemonade. The low sugar and carbohydrates content did not cause the sharp spike in my blood sugar or the “shakes” that I always got with other lemonade alternatives. I also pour the lemonade into my tiny ice cube trays and after freezing, I add the flavorful lemonade cubes to my drinking water! True Lemon Original Lemonade Drink Mix is now at the top of the list of summer “beat the heat” drinks and this search find discovery on Amazon is one of the best I’ve made this year!

Excellent lemonade flavor. So many of these lemonade mixes have a chemical aftertaste. This however, is pure flavor of old fashioned lemonade. Lemon and sweetness, but not too much. Tastes homemade. Love it. This company puts out quality stuff. Try it.

For whatever reason this has become difficult to find in my local grocery stores. Not only does Amazon have it, but it's a 30 count!! Tasty single serve lemonade with minimal ingredients. My whole family enjoys these, especially on a hot summer day.

Love this product. We use it to make lemon crushes and it adds that extra flavor. Try the strawberry too it makes an even better crush.

I'm diabetic, so I'm limited in terms of what beverages I can drink. I'm also trying to keep my diet as natural as possible, on the advice of my doctor, so I make it a point to avoid things like diet soda, and other beverages containing artificial sweeteners. I've always loved lemonade, but the conventional mixes (like Country Time), and even homemade lemonade made with real sugar are now a no-no. I tried making homemade using Stevia to sweeten it, but it didn't come out good at all. I then tried the lemonade flavored VitaminWater, since it's zero sugar, and made with predominantly natural ingredients. However, I found that it had a very unpleasant, very unnatural aftertaste. That's something I wouldn't have expected from something made from natural ingredients, but it was there nevertheless. Still searching for a lemonade alternative, I read the ingredients (which are surprisingly natural for a drink mix!), and the reviews, and decided to give this lemonade mix a try. Sadly, this product is a miss as well. While it's also made with natural ingredients, it has the exact same flavor, including the same unpleasant aftertaste, as the VitaminWater. I'm assuming that it's the Stevia that's causing all of these lemonades to taste the way they do, so my search will continue to find a product that contains a natural sweetener, but still tastes good, and most importantly, won't cause my blood sugar to spike. The one good thing I can say about this lemonade is that it didn't adversely affect my blood sugar at all, and again, the ingredients are natural. Still, it ultimately does me no good if it tastes so awful that I can't being myself to drink it! If you actually LIKE the taste of VitaminWater Zero Lemonade, then you should definitely try this, as it tastes almost identical, comes in convenient travel-friendly thin packets, and is cheaper (one box of 30 packets cost less than two 20 oz. bottles of VitaminWater). However, if you're like me and can't bare the taste of VitaminWater, look elsewhere. Looks I'll be sticking with plain seltzer from my SodaStream machine for the foreseeable future....

I love the ingredients on paper, but how does natural lemonade taste so bad? It tastes acidic but not much like lemonade. Makes my tooth enamel feel soft. I’ve tasted multiple flavors, and the only one I like somewhat is the wildberry. But even it is just tolerable. Not particularly yummy. But I’ll keep using the wildberry for now because I’m having trouble drinking plain water, and I can’t have sugary drinks or artificial sweeteners. Until a better option becomes available, the wildberry will do.

The content is not in powder anymore. Becoming like a paste. Might be an old stock. I can't see any expiry date.
