All I know is my little Cavalier thinks this is the best thing to happen all day. Possibly more than walks, chasing lizards or taking out the garbage. She loves treats, don't get me wrong. But these are next level stuff for her. She literally loses control when she gets one. She is so excited she can't even pick one up off the floor. She keeps running back and forth trying to snatch and run. It's truly hysterical. As you probably know, Cavaliers are small, soft mouthed dogs. So, a half of a stick takes her about 3 1/2 - 4 minutes to eat. If you have a larger 40lbs up dog, a full stick may take less time depending on breed. They also mention freezing can add to the enjoyment time. They're only medium hard, a bit harder than regular beef jerky and nothing as hard as a rawhide style chew. I will continue to purchase the 40 pack bags as long as my little girl has teeth to eat them with. Which is why we brush every night! Highest recommendation.

Bought these for our 2-month-old Pit Puppy. She loves them, but she has them eaten in less than a minute. Our 10-year-old male Pit loves them too. If you want something to clean their teeth, these are not good for that. They are too soft. But, if you want a treat that is healthy and provides something for a teething puppy to chew, rather than your fingers, these are great. Wish these were less expensive. Just bought a second pack, but will no longer buy once the puppy stops chewing everything. Our Pits love chewing on sticks made from oak tree branches. Really works great keeping their teeth clean. My 10-year old has no tartar because he loves carrying and chewing on sticks when we go for runs. If he doesn't have a stick, he will grab a low branch and break it for his use. Our puppy is already finding small pieces of wood/branches to chew. It's just a natural thing for Pits (terriers) to dig holes and chew on wood. They don't get splinters in their mouths, especially from safe wood like freshly cut oak and ash.

My dogs love these and what is so great is that they some in three flavors (and we buy all three, chicken, beef and peanut butter.) Such great treat and it's good for them.

My two Yorkies, and Bichon love these chews. They obviously are yummy, but they don't last more than a few minutes. They are more like a treat than a long-lasting chew toy. They seem to be a quality product with no smell, packaged well, just don't last.

I'm always looking for long lasting treats that both dogs can eat. My dogs love these rawhide bones. I have a 60 lb dog and a 20 lb dog and they can both eat these chews. Very long lasting, keeps my dogs entertained for hours. Easy to digest! My dogs LOVE them!!!!

I bought these "chews" for my 2 dogs as a cheaper alternative to the Earth Animal No-hide chews. One of my dogs is an almost 4-year-old Samoyed (about 50 lb) and my other dog is a 7-month-old Samoyed (about 35 lb). I would call these "chews" a treat rather than a chew. First off, I think the photos are pretty misleading. The photos make it look like these sticks are about 3/4 to 1 inch wide, but what I received is actually less than a half inch wide. They also aren't very hard and can break apart with little pressure. Almost like those cracker bread sticks you get at some Italian restaurants. Although my dogs clearly enjoy them, it takes my puppy less than 30 seconds to eat one of these, and my older dog takes about a minute to eat one. It defeats the purpose of a chew (teeth cleaning) if my dogs can eat it that quickly. Also, the other reviews are correct: while these sticks say they are made from US-sourced chicken, it does clearly say that they are processed and made in Mexico. That part doesn't really bother me, but adds to the misleading advertising. Needless to say, I won't be buying these again. They don't serve their intended purpose for my dogs. Maybe they would be better for a small breed of dog.

I had been buying these treats for my 6 lb. Multipoo for a few months and decided to try another brand of non rawhide treat stick for her. Since she is so small she only gets half a stick, but would some times not finish it. I just decided to go back to these. And as soon as I gave her the treat she ran around the couch with it then into my room onto my bed and then came back to the living room to enjoy her treat. With that level of excitement, I could tell she was happy to have these treats back. They are very easy to break in half. The stick has a slight elasticity to them, but soft under the outer skin. Almost no smell comes from the bag of treats. Seeing my dog loves these so much, I will be sticking with them. I do wish you got more sticks at the price that they are. But they do seem to be of good quality, so it does not matter too much. All in all, it is a good treat that my dog loves, and they are not too hard or big for her small mouth to chew. If you have a larger dog, I do not see these treats lasting long since they are so easy to eat. Great for small dogs but not to sure if you are looking for a treat that will occupy and sooth their chewing needs of a larger breed.

My dogs love these things! Not the cheapest treat but definitely the best, according to them.

My dog likes these and I can only find them on Amazon, It takes a while to get to me so I order two pkg at a time. there is no smell to them,
