​If you are looking to replace the dry-rotted, dirty factory door speakers in a 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, these Alphasonik 6x8s are a fantastic, budget-friendly solution. The sizing is a spot-on direct match for both the front and rear doors on these trucks. Because they feature universal factory-style mounting holes, they drop right into the OEM brackets without needing to drill new holes or modify the door panels. ​Sound-quality wise, the transition from factory single-cone speakers to these 3-way coaxials is night and day. The polyetherimide and piezo tweeters bring out a lot of high-end clarity that was completely missing before—vocals are crisp, and the mids are nice and clean without sounding harsh. While they aren't going to rattle your windows with deep sub-bass on head unit power alone, the mid-bass punch is incredibly tight and responsive for a speaker running at 35W RMS. They handle higher volumes smoothly with zero distortion. For a heavy-duty daily driver upgrade, you can't beat the performance for the price.

The price is on point for the quality of the speakers. They include cable leads with the package, but I didn't use those. I just bought the adapters for my truck. (adapters normally run 10.00 or less for a pair and plug into the OEM socket, no wiring!) I bought these to replace stock speakers on a F150 2012 due to the OEM speakers in the front being absolute garbage that break so fast you have to wonder if they cost $10.00. For the price I paid for these, and the sound they get, they are pretty good. The sound quality is not 300$ speaker quality. I don't use an amp and use the default head. For a stock sound system replacement, they were superb. There is a bit of sound distortion when you have very strong bass, but cmon, 4 speakers for under 80 bucks... get real, this is a steal. The issue with the Ford speakers is a lack of hermetic sealing, in my opinion, on the door. It seems humidity gets in and rots the speaker cloth or paper it felt like when I took it off. The material these are made of does not seem like one that would fall victim to this. Probably the truth is the ford OEM is made from the worst stuff they can get away with putting in there. Fits an F150 perfectly, HOWEVER, I had to mount them upside down in the front. This may be why some people don't think they fit their truck when they seem to have the same make and model. This does not affect the speaker's sound or anything in any way. I just found it curious.

These sound amazing in my 2005 Lincoln. I paired them with a new stereo and everything sounds much nicer than expected and I’m a classical musician with high expectations. Great value - no doubt.

They work good for the price but nothing fancy. They fit good and were the same size as advertised

Installed 4 of these in a 02 ford taurus, ran them off the stock factory unit and definitely a noticeable difference, then installed a kenwood head unit that produces 22 rms, for the price these are solid still need time to season them and still doing several eq adjustments as they break in, will give a final edit later but so far pretty solid sound quality and volume for the price, I would never recommend these to anyone running a real 4 channel amp but for stock replacement with factory head unit or someone planning to run aftermarket head unit only these had the highest db sensitivity and lowest power handling requirement to be in the perfect range for head unit power only, the highs are a little sharp instead of low the tweeter wasn't the best design but price for value i have payed a lot more in the past and had way worse sound quality. I use to do Iasca SQ competitons so use I've heard and set up way better but not for this price range, Memphis use to have a line price point like this that out performed but they discontiuned them. but for just head unit power and low budget they exceed the price and value. If you put these on aftermarket head unit MAKE sure its one with a good solid 10+ band equalizer they take a lot of tweaking to clear out the mid-range to high range and avoid bleeding any frequency below 150 optimally 200 (it says it can handle it but the vibrations will dsitort the tweeter badly. Since stock head units generally don't produce enough RMS to even matter these play solidly on them without make tweaking. Amazing OEM replacements and really solid power range for on a head unit, I could not find a better quality speaker that didnt require twice what an aftermarket head unit can produce in order to be optimum so getting anything more expensive such as infinity kicker mb quart etc you will waste your money if you plan to run them on after market or stock head units. They will be severly under powered and will lack the proper volume to quality. I used the 6x8's for reference any other speaker size model I can't attest to but would imagine the result around the same.

I've noticed a few problems with these speakers already. In the month I've owned them the one I installed in the driver side rear of my truck has developed a pretty decent rattle /buzzing sound from the cone. They also peak very low and when just with normal listening to hip hop or metal music the volume cuts out by almost half when there's bass hits in the song. Maybe I got a bad set but I don't know because I ordered the 2 pairs option :/ but anyway I don't recommend anyone else to buy these and be disappointed in them like I am. They look nice, but aren't at all.

Bought as a gift for my son and they're pretty decent for the cost!

They are a 3way speaker kit with four speakers in the kit. Easy install on 2008 F350 that needed updated speakers. Sound is OK, due to being hooked up to original stereo system. Power is 25 watts RMS per speaker with OK sound range. No deep base or overpowering high end. Just flat music levels to reproduce good sound for an old system. Changing stereo would help make these speakers sound better with an amp closer to their power handling abilities. Pigtail wires and screws included for ease of installation, recommend using heat shrink tubing when splicing to keep corrosion to minimum. Electrical tape will not do for automotive environment. Not high end speakers, but a great price on a good sounding speaker system upgrade. Worth the price, specially if your staying close to stock with maybe a medium size sub upgrade too. Sounds better than stock!

I installed these in a 2011 ford super duty. They are similar to the factory ford speakers for sound. After awhile though these speakers are cracking and popping. I don't listen to loud music either. Mostly talk radio.

Good quality defiantly better than 10year old paper speakers super easy to install did all 4 less than an hr in a gas station parking lot

The speakers sound good. I run a diesel truck so I don't need or expect Carnegie Hall. The speakers sound better then the factory ones. For the price they are a bargain.
