Flawless Product
Purchased for my son. Reviewed all the similar products and finally selected this one and am very glad I did. Performs flawlessly in every respect. From the reviews I was concerned of the ease of assembly, the noise, and the possible lack of satisfactory resistance. He called me up and suggested I review this product as it has fulfilled his needs very well and is excellent is every respect. He advised that upon delivery he assembled the bike, (a 26' Raleigh off road bike), without using a single tool. The only adjustment necessary was the tension knob to set it at the resistance level desired. He first had too much tension on it and was able to easily back it off finding the correct tension that would allow shifting of gears to provide the complete range of tension desired. The noise issue in negligible. He said it is no different than riding the bike down the street. One factor that may have assisted in this regard is that in some reviews it reported that normal knobby tires made more noise than smooth tires. He has special tires that are smooth on the middle of the tread but have he knobby pattern around the edges. The purpose being that you get a smooth road ride but when turning or sinking into soft earth the knobs dig in and it is the best of both worlds. As previously noted once the tension is set on the device you can easily go from free wheeling to hard resistance pedaling like climbing a hill. The bike gears provide the tension desired just as being on the street. In summary, he cannot recommend this product more highly. Just to have him call and recommend I make a favorable review speaks volumes and he usually cannot care less of such reviews.

Good Inexpensive Trainer
I bought this trainer for my new cheap huffy bike. I was looking for a good, cheap (that didn't cost as much as my bike), reliable trainer, so I decided to give this a go. The trainer arrived in a big box, and inside of that box was another box, and then the "real box" with the trainer inside (hey It was fun, like those russian dolls). The unit feels sturdy, and of good quality but it's not super bulky at all. Quality of construction is good, and it was fairly easy to set-it up even with no prior experience or checking out the instructions. I tried with the bicycle and it made a little of noise and vibration as expected, but not a big deal. It's more likely to be my problem because I have laminated floors at home, and they transmit every single noise/vibration. I have yet to try it with a rubber mat and see how it works. Overral, not a bad deal at all!

ABSOLUTELY FINE PRODUCT, SO READ MY REVIEW BECAUSE IT IS THOROUGH AND OBJECTIVE (SERIOUSLY)
This is my first bike trainer yet I am an experienced rider. I bought it for the price, and yes, for the light color since it is in my living room. Overall, I would recommend this product not having tried any other. I read the other product reviews while shopping for this and they are all about the same except for the noise factor. There is some noise, yet given it works on a surface for resistance, noise naturally occurs. However, I would not describe it as noise because it isn't noisy! It makes some sound but it is ABSOLUTELY MANAGEABLE. I wear headphones for my music anyway during my training, so I don't hear anything. My place is small, yet my roommate sleeps with the door open or watches TV while I use it - so there you have it. Does that describe the SOUND issue clearly enough? :-) People live below me so I put a towel under the trainer to dampen the sound a bit that may go through the floor - no complaints yet and the neighbor is piiiiky. Set up and removal is easy and I do that a lot. I would recommend getting a riser for your front tire ($10ish) so provide proper resistance. This way your bike will be level...otherwise you will have your bike in the highest gear and not get enough of a workout. Also, if you are going to get a trainer, get a training tire. I just went through my second tube and I hardly have the resistance high. So I got a heavy duty tube and a bike trainer tire AND THIS WILL CUT DOWN ON ANY SOUND as well because that is what they are made for. Buy this product now and burn some calories! Woot!

Great trainer for someone just trying to get some exercise indoors
I am not a cyclist. I just have a bike that I would like to use indoors this winter. I got this model on sale and am extremely happy with it. It is a tiny bit noisy considering how small the actual resistance device is, but it is not nearly as bad as any cheap, self-powered exercise equipment I have ever owned. Once I fixed the few issues I found with my bike, setting it up was easy and it works well. I also didn't realize that I had 28" tires, and though the product is not designed for it, it JUST fits within millimeters, so it worked out.

Obnoxiously loud
Unpacked it and hooked my bike to it within 10 minutes. Super easy to set up! Itโs very stable and operates as described. I had to take 2 stars off because of how loud the magnetic resistor is. This thing sounds louder than my car does on a cold start. Saying it sounds obnoxiously loud is an understatement. It sounds like a jet engine taking off. It is 1000000% not suitable indoors if you like your neighbors/ family.

Very easy to install and use
I tried another brand bike stand here (one that required assembling the friction wheel) and it was impossible to put together. This one comes almost fully assembled. You simply need to replace the choke for your back wheel (especially if it's plastic) with the one supplied and mount your bike. It works very well. Stable enough for hands free riding. It's a bit noisy, but that is due to the rear wheel rubbing against the friction wheel and any stand will do this. I'm pleased as instead of forking out several hundred minimum on a new exercise bike, I converted an old racing bike into an indoor exercise spin bike and it's working out well.

Shockingly loud
It seems sturdy but I HAVE to give it one star because of how unbelievably loud it is. I figured it had to be a mistake I made setting it up. I adjusted it over and over and it still sounded like an airplane.
