I knew I needed a plug adapter as it comes with a 2 pin EU plug. I didn't realise there was a difference between shaver, toothbrush adapters with 1 amp fuse and a travel plug with 13amp fuse. Didn't work with the 1 amp shaver adapter BUT got this from Amazon, VGUARD European to UK Plug Adaptor, BS8546 Certified Travel Adapter 2-Pin to 3-Pin, EU Schuko to UK Plug, THAT WORKED. I already know the curler itself is good as I have another older UK version . Good price considering what others cost nowadays. It curls my hair into a bob beautifully. It's light to hold and easy to rotate via thumb hold press.
