I've been using these more frequently than planned because not only are they comfortable, they're incredibly effective. I use them beneath earmuffs at the range (gotta protect the mastoid, too!) and using power tools. They're also great for barking dogs/snoring spouses/deaf relatives/enthusiastically shrieking small children/general annoyances, etc. At night I'll put one in and sleep with the other ear on the pillow so that if there's a real need, I'll wake up but otherwise remain unbothered. Recently I shared a small room for nearly two weeks with a small child and loudly snoring man. Wore these to bed and had no disturbances, a minor miracle! Generally I have huge issues with ear protection not fitting or causing pain after wearing a short while. These not only fit superbly, but they have never caused any discomfort. They can be a bit tricky the first couple times to put in but after that it's a breeze. They're marked right and left and I've found that using the other hand to pull upward on the top of the ear aids insertion by straightening the ear canal. I carry mine wherever I go now, to make life a lot more bearable since I apparently have the hearing of a bobcat and wish to continue that way despite a noisy urban life and much time spent at a shooting range.

**Q: I'm between a M and L. Any suggestions?**
A: What I do is buy both a medium and a large pair, and take both apart (running them under warm water in the sink helps soften them up and makes this easier). I then assemble a pair with the flanged piece (the part that actually goes inside your ear) from the large pair, and the medium sized concha bowl part (outer piece) . Then I run the flanged piece under hot water to soften it up, and then put it in my ear until it cools. Perfect fit, and less likely to accidentally back out.Obviously it's twice as expensive to do this. But I use these every day at work so it's worth the cost.

**Q: Has anyone used these for sleeping?**
A: Yes I have. I took the cord off for better comfort. Worked well.

**Q: Do these come with a hard case for carrying?**
A: Yes it does have a hard case and it has a chain to connect both ear buds

**Q: How do I know these fit and how can I test that they reduce noise in a dental setting?**
A: I'm not sure about the size but they'll work perfectly in the dental setting I work around heavy machinery and when I am using the earplugs I don't hear anything

I use them beneath earmuffs at the range (gotta protect the mastoid, too!) and using power tools. They're also great for barking dogs/snoring spouses/deaf relatives/enthusiastically shrieking small children/general annoyances, etc. At night I'll put one in and sleep with the other ear on the pillow so that if there's a real need, I'll wake up but otherwise remain unbothered.
