It states "Made in France". **Q: Is it normal for the spatula’s blade to burn from cooking dry caramel? Should it be replaced?** A: You can certainly burn or discolor these spatulas. Even so they are my go to daily cooking tool for nearly evry thing except pancakes or eggs. **Q: Question to the manufacturer : can I use this spatula to mix sodium hydroxide and water?
