I have had a very expensive orthopedic bed for several years, my son’s dog came to stay for a while and needed a second bed for them. I purchased this one and it is excellent. In fact, the lab that had the original bed has taken this one over. He absolutely loves it. The XL will fit a large dog, my Silver lab is large and weighs around 100 pounds. The assembly is very easy and it’s durable and I have washed the cover multiple times and it has held up. This is an amazing value and better than the very expensive one I bought elsewhere. It’s soft fabric, seems to keep the dogs warm and comfortable. As far as smell, any dog bed if you don’t clean it is going to smell, I have had no issues with this one but I do wash it and vacuum it once a week. Safety is not an issue there is about a 4 inch step into the bed and the bumpers around it have caused no hazard as it is flexible and gives some when they lay on it. You won’t regret this purchase!

Very good beds. Thick and sturdy. I love that they cover is washable. I had ordered one for my first adopted American Staffordshire Terrier and when we adopted our 2nd American Staffordshire Terrier I bought another one. They sleep so good on them. Both dogs have them in their crates.

I’m very happy with this orthopedic dog bed. The quality is excellent, and the cushion is thick and supportive. My dogs immediately loved it and sleep very comfortably on it. I bought two of these. The material feels durable and well made, and the size is perfect for larger dogs. It also looks nice and clean in the house. I’ve had this pet bed for 4 years and that was premium quality. Comfortable for dog, dense pillows, holding own’s shape with any problem, even after 4 years of using looks like completely new.Decided to bought the new one and this is a huge disappointment. The mattress is way more thinner, pillows are almost empty, cheap wrinkly fabric with a cheap shining, crooked stitches. That’s really like “expectation and reality”:(This is not about “new product needs time to get a good shape after a vacuum package”. This is about a quality which goes down really
