I intend to wash it like I do Groppo, my son's crocodile, once a month and starting right away... I know they say not to machine wash, just spot clean...but the crocodile holds up very well in a delicate cycle in a lingerie bag with mild soap and hanging dry on my covered back porch. It only takes a day to dry. This is intended for my 3month old second son so he can have a sweet favorite animal pal to sleep with when he transitions to sleeping in his room one day.
