Fantastic solution for light scratches on black cars and trucks.
After just two weeks, I took a small rock from a semi-tractor trailer on the black hood of my new German import which left a scratch deep into the clear coat about six inches long. I tried rubbing it out with several different compounds, but the scratch remained. The next day I stopped by the body shop of a friend for advice who specializes in painting and repairing German automobiles. He suggested that using touch up paint would worsen the appearance and suggested that I just learn to live with it. Not the right answer. After an hour of online research I came across this product and decided to try it out. It's a two-step process with a black wax-like pencil to fill in the scratch, followed by the application of black liquid wax to blend and polish the affected area. I repeated this process twice and the results were amazing. I anticipated the treatment might last a few weeks and need to be repeated on a regular basis, but it's been three months and it still looks great. If you have a light scratch on a black car or truck that will not rub out, I suggest you consider this product. It was the prefect solution for me.

Loved it. Good Stuff. Highly recommended.
It may not give you the kind of results you'd get with a comprehensive detailing product/kit like Turtle Wax Black Box ( a product that takes 2-3 hours from start to finish)... but for the price and the speed of use, this to me is the best value. If you're a perfectionist, there are other products one could use. But if you just want to give your car a nice impressive shine without spending hours on your car, to me this is one of the best products out there. THE CHIPSTICK ALONE WOULD BE WORTH THE PRICE just for the difference it makes in filling in and concealing scratches! After washing my car, Between filling in the scratches with the Chipstik, buffing those spots, applying the Color Magic liquid, and shining it all up, I think I was done in maybe 30-35 minutes.... and probably could have gotten it done quicker except for the fact that I hadn't worked on my car's finish like this since I got it 2 years ago. For future polishings and touch ups, I think maybe 20 minutes or so will get it done. Highly recommended and very nice price. 5 stars for sure.

Nice Shine for a Black Car, but Scratch Covering is Mediocre
I bought this polish as one step of a project to rehabilitate the finish on my 2016 KIA Soul. There were no major problems, but there were some minor scratches and swirl marks and a bunch of tiny stone chips. If this is the situation you're in, you should know that this polish on its own does only a mediocre job of covering scratches, and a less-than-mediocre job of covering chips. What I wound up doing was touching up the tiny chips with the pain pens KIA sells, compounding the car to blend those corrections in, and then using this wax. I'll leave you to decide whether the end result was worth it. It's not that this is a bad product, mind you. It's not. But if you expect it to cover scratches and nicks with no extra effort on your part, you probably will be disappointed. But if you put some work into touching up the chips and preparing the surface with a proper compounding, this polish will make a good next step. By the way, I don't really consider this a "polish" by my definition of the word. I consider it more of a pigmented cleaner wax. But by whatever name, it works fairly well if you don't expect it to do miracles and put some effort into the prep work. The application and removal both take a bit more muscle than an average car wax, but are not back breaking. It also takes a lot longer to haze over than most waxes. Do yourself a favor and give it plenty of time to dry. It's much easier to remove (and also seems to work better as a scratch cover) if you let it dry completely. In summary, this is a good tool as part of a surface correction on a black car. But it's not a detailer in a bottle. If you put some effort into the rest of the work, this will help you obtain a good result. But it won't do the rest of the work for you.

No big deal on black mica paint
I dislike the large bottle opening so installed a flip open cap from a lemon juice bottle from Sam's Club. It fits tight and now bottle has a more controlled pour. My review is based on a 2007 (13 year old), garage kept Mazda MS6 with black mica paint and 60K miles. With low miles this car has not been subject to excessive sun oxidation but does reside in Florida. To get the best results I clay bared the hood first and then applied this Turtle Wax Black Magic polish in sections. Let it dry and wiped off which was ease, perhaps because the paint has not oxidized kept in garage. Other then a rag sliding off the hood now, I see no difference in the shade of black for my hood. The rest of the car not done yet. Tiny paint chips to the metal still show. Scratches down to primer get darker and mask pretty well. For me, it's not worth dealing with black wax mess to wax a black mica car. I also bought the Turtle Wax black detailer but not used yet. I have higher hopes for it to maintain the car once waxed.

Great wax at a good price.
I used it on my 70 Chevelle SS that was repainted ten years ago. I used care not to get ot on my white stripes. I'm not sure how if any it could have effected the white stripes. The wax took away alot of the light buffing scratches from years of waxing. I'm not going to say it is a miracle cure. But it is now the only wax I will use on my black paint unless something better comes available. It definitely made a difference over the quality paste wax I had been using. The price is very affordable compared to other quality waxes. So don't let the lower cost be a deterrent. Let it be a relief that you are getting a quality wax that let's you keep some of your hard earned money in your pocket. Turtle Wax has been around as long as I can remember. And that's a very long time.

I am impressed
Is it perfect? No. But I am impressed with what it did. My black car is 20 years old, but always garaged so the paint is in reasonably good condition. There are still a lot of little scratches, mostly on the hood and I wanted to address those. This worked very well to diminish the appearance of those scratches on just the first application. You can still see them if you look, but just walking by at a glance, they no longer jump out at you. And, I also realized how oxidized the paint is too, as it's very evident in the places I have not done yet. This works well to remove that. Also works well to remove those stubborn "water" stains near the washer fluid nozzles. I was surprised that this works surprisingly well on GLOSSY painted plastic surfaces, such as the door handles that always get those scratches from fingernails. (Don't use on flat black plastic)

This is the one for black cars!
I bought a 2013 black Sentra two years ago. I've been keeping it clean regularly so it looks good, but I wanted a really good polish to give a deep, showroom shine. I did a lot of research on the types of polish available - especially for black, clear-coated cars. I plumped for this and yesterday got the window to give it a try (has to be Spring in Texas unless you have a garage to work in). I washed the car thoroughly first then, following the instructions, applied this using a damp soft-cloth for application. I tried it over a small test area first - one that had a couple of light surface scratches. You don't have to rub this in hard, you just apply with even pressure, allow to dry, then wipe off with one cloth, and I used a separate one for buffing to a shine. The difference was stunning, even on a clean, well-looked-after car! The surface scratches disappeared and the shine was deep!. I did the rest of the car, which took about an hour and a half, and was left with a car looking just like it did when I first saw it in the dealership! From what I can see this used about half the bottle, so I have enough for another application at another time. I have found the polish for my black car!

Good product for the price
It is a good polish that gives good protection against dust and has a good water beading finish. Gives the car a darker depth look. It does not fully remove swirl marks but it lightens them. Really a good product from turtle wax. I recommend every grey to black colour car owners to try buy and use atleast once. P.S This is not a paid promotion.

Turtle wax is always a great product!
Turtle Wax T-374KTR Color Magic Car Polish is a Honda hatchback's best friend! This magic potion worked wonders, restoring my car's color to showroom glory. The application was a breeze, and the results were nothing short of spectacular. The finish is lustrous, and it effortlessly masked minor imperfections. A must-have for anyone looking to give their car a glossy makeover. Turtle Wax, you've earned a spot in my detailing routine – a true game-changer!

Doesn't add shine to black plastic cladding
I bought this Product to shine the black plastic claddings on windows, rear view mirror, wheel arches, lower corners of bumpers, and add-ons like side step, and tires. Sorry to say, there is no visible benefit of black pigments as claimed. An ordinary wax polish does the job better if you compare the sheen and colour depth before/after on black parts. May be, it works on black metal panels, on paints. may be it reduces the swirl mark but I didn't try because i've put PPF on the car. Overall, not happy with the end result

Didn’t get the chipstick as advertised but a good product.
It did arrive early though and worked well on the scuffs and finished to a brilliant shine. I do recommend a heavy coat and leave to dry and then buff. I will probably go over some parts again as I applied a lighter coat which didn’t cover a lot of the heavier scuffs and circle abrasions. Otherwise a great product for a home detail job and protective coat.
