I have been taking supplements and going to alternative medicine practitioners for over thirty years, and am selective about the supplements I take. I like the idea of NADH because it is a naturally occurring substance that decreases in the body with age. I began taking this product for fatigue and extreme pain caused by two autoimmune diseases. At the time I was barely able to work or perform simple household tasks. I initially purchased the 5 mg, took one, and didn’t notice a difference. The next day I took 2 (10mg) and thought I felt something. The third day I took 3 (15 mg) and noticed a marked decline in pain and a dramatic increase in energy. I finally settled on the 20 mg as the proper dosage and could not believe the difference in quality of life. I now recommend this product to anyone suffering from RA, Fibromyalgia, or any other chronic illness as it is beneficial to cellular repair. It also helps alleviate the extreme fatigue caused by the demands of a busy work/home schedule. For anyone starting out with NADH, it is best to purchase the 5 mg and increase in 5 mg increments daily to achieve the proper dosage.

These are so expensive they better have an impact, and they do. I’m 66 years old with type 1 diabetes and hemochromatosis both of which cause fatigue, so constantly searching for something that helps. I feel like my eyes are opened wider, my brain functions better, and I have a little more energy.

This sublingual form of NADH is one of the best I've ever tried for an energy lift without the downside when it is used up.

Much better results (increased energy, mental alertness, improved focus, improved mood) with the same brand, but enteric coated (to be swallowed--not sublingual), and fewer mg. I'm taking 10 mg in the morning and 5 mg in the afternoon of the NADH 5 mg enteric-coated option.

I originally was excited about NADH because there were some bio cycles that showed it could increase NAD+ and it does in the short term. NADH is very good when taken at 5mg in a coated tab and rapidly increases NAD+ levels giving you energy and focus. However, the research shows that long term use of NADH can actually lower your NAD+ levels significantly to about half normal levels in 8 weeks when taking 20mg/day of NADH (see article "Does Oral Coenzyme Q10 Plus NADH Supplementation Improve Fatigue and Biochemical Parameters in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?" ANTIOXIDANTS & REDOX SIGNALING Volume 22, Number 8, 2015). On testing this myself I found this data to be accurate, and the usefulness of NADH decreased rapidly the long you took NADH. This drop in effectiveness (actually negative effect) was why I began looked through the research on the subject and found this problem with NADH. Also, from my own experience the lozenges were much less effective than the coated tablets from Kal, with 5mg NADH tab from KAL producing significantly more effect than 25mg Lozenges from ProHealth. Thus, use Enteric Coated tablets 5mg and never take NADH for more than a couple days in a row or you can actually lower your NAD+ levels and get all the metabolism problems that that drop in NAD+ can cause.

These NADH Sublingual tablets really work for me. The are particularly good if you are suffering from a lack of sleep. They improve my mental and physical energy and I believe they make me perform better on Lumosity. The energy boost lasts all day for me without the shaky jittery feeling that can come from too much coffee. I have one concern though that keeps me from taking them regularly. Researchers have found that an imbalance of NADH/NAD+ ratios with too much NADH can cause breast cancer to very aggressive. Restoring the correct ratio causes the cancer to become less aggressive. There are a lot of similarities between breast and prostate cancer so this may be a concern for both men and women. I would have given 5 stars if not for this concern.

I feel so much better after taking this product. Today was the 4th day on this supplement (Source Naturals NADH 20 mg sublingual) and it really kicked in for me. I didn't notice a thing until now, but 4 days is not a long time to wait. I felt energy and vitality that I haven't felt in years. Not an artificial caffeine type of "energy", but rather what would be normal for a healthy person with no health issues. I have a diagnosis of MS and although I'm much better after being on high doses of thiamine (I wonder if I actually have thiamine deficiency rather than MS as that can also cause demylinization) I was still experiencing a foundational and frustrating lack of energy both physically and mentally. This product has really helped. I feel like I can function again and I'm hopeful that this upswing will continue and get even better with continued use of this product. I recommend it to anyone with MS, CFIDS, FM, etc.
