Mine is truly a beautiful work of art
5 stars from me. When i saw it came I was too excited. I love kukris. This is my fourth technically 5th cause I gave one away to someone wanted one. Never had a Damascus one, I have a Damascus dagger and karambit. I just find Damascus fascinating. It does come with an oil coating, but anyone that knows Damascus knows the high carbon steel is prone to rust. Just wipe it off but if itโs kept completely dry for a period of time especially in a humid environment, it, will, rust. These metals and blades require care. The pattern on mine I think is just amazing. I have tried to use it, weight feels good, handle feels good in the hand, the weight, the swinging, balance, and it held up. Came with a good edge and bevel, no chips or anything and i was using it on decently hard wood. I quit after so long cause I just felt bad for swinging it cause how much I love it.For the money yes definitely worth it. Strong, dependable, good forge work and a work of art. Just requires a little extra love so she wonโt rust

Another great value from this company!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:It's a gorgeous, real Damascus steel kukri, blade length is about 7.5 inches, thickness is about .15 mm thick and it arrived very sharp with a decent leather sheath all for $39.95 , highly recommend this,it isn't heavy duty but it definitely will cut thru smaller brush etcย ,the second knife is a type of Bowie about 8-9 inches long of blade and a wooden handle that encapsulates the tang so I'm not sure it's full tang but it also arrived very sharp and the Damascus steel pattern is stunning,it too came with a decent leather sheath and at these prices I can afford to build my collection,it appears to be about.16-.18 mm thick and instead of a choil it has a cutout that I'm not sure of its purpose,it will make a great self defense knife or for hunting or skinning game ,just remember to keep all Damascus steel knives oiled up especially in humid areas and never store them in the sheath unless absolutely necessary,I have display racks for my knives

Cold Shut crack in blade edge! Dangerous cold forge! Avoid
I have noticed that many of the Damascus steel blades forged in Pakistan as this one have cold shuts! The blade edge has a cold shut in the edge up more than a 1/4" leaving a crack in the edge of the blade which would immediately cause catastrophic failure with limited use which may cause serious injury. Any blacksmith would check for this, and never sell a blade like this. A cold shut is when the steel was not forged together due to metal forge cooling or slag between steel folds causing the crack. This knife is dangerous & should not be for sale. See the photo
