Upon seeing our son’s neurologist recently, he mentioned using this brand of green light. It was used while in the exam room for about 30 minutes. Upon leaving our son said that he felt better than when we arrived! That NEVER happens as car rides and lots of movement or talking make his migraine symptoms worse. While there are other “green light” bulbs around, NorbRelief doesn’t flicker and is dimmable .The only downside is you must have a dimmable light fixture or dimmer switch connected to the lamp while using. It is extremely bright! It was apparently dimmed a little in the office and so we found this a must to use it comfortably. Depending on individual migraine or headache situations, it may not have the intended effect, as my husbands migraines get worse around it. Again, it is very bright so a dimmer lamp is needed to adjust the lighting for comfort. I would also suggest you talk to you doctor before using this to make sure it would be a good fit. Overall, it is a great choice for our son to get relief without using more meds.

I have been getting Aura followed by other migraine symptoms for some time. Now, as soon as I start to notice the Aura, I get with one of my two lamps that have these green light bulbs in them. As long as I don't put it off, it aborts the migraine. Absolutely amazing for me. I'm sure it will work for some people and not others. But for me, this is a bit of a MIRACLE!!! If you try it, I hope it works equally well for you too, because migraines are not fun.

Haven’t noticed a difference with migraines but I do find it to be calming. I like it overall .

The green bulb sends out enough light to continue with activities done under a white light, such as reading, and drawing. I find the soft green hue relaxing.

So my kid suffers from migraines and I hear good things about this type of light treatment. I have to say first of all it does work. When the kid is having a migraine this light does help reduce the visual stimulation and resulting sensitivity giving some relief. So the theory is sound. Now why am I not thrilled. So this is a fairly bright light and there is no getting around that it is very green, which causes a weird color shift effect that washes out colors. So if you are not suffering a migraine this is not desirable. To really be a good solution for most people the product should add wifi support and allow toggling between the therapeutic and normal white light, and dimming. I think the product would be more effective with the ability to be dimmed, and for rooms with a single light the dual functionality would make it far more user friendly as you could just use an app to switch modes rather than trying to swap bulbs, or add a second fixture. For the price of the bulb I don't thin this is a big ask, and therefore consider the product as is, something of an unfinished idea, requiring a version 2.0. Which I'd be happy to test for them.

Gone are the days of having to hide out in a dark room, this light SERIOUSLY is a game-changer. It doesn’t take away my symptoms entirely (although I do notice some pain relief after spending a while with the light), but since this light doesn’t irritate my head, I’m able to stay on top of chores/working/reading/writing. I had been using the original NorbRELIEF for about a year, but this Leaf light is 75% as bright as the original NorbRELIEF, making it even easier on my eyes. It’s also a softer and warmer light but has the same great benefits as the original RELIEF. I should also mention it’s dimmable, which is so cool! I don’t have a lamp with that function right now, but I’d love to try it!

I purchased this I have suffered from migraines and headaches for many years. I am completely debilitated during these migraines, so I was hoping that it would work. I have tried green light therapy before and it has been very effective, but this lightbulb does NOT work. This green lightbulb is too bright and not soothing. It is painful to look at. It even caused my migraines to be more painful and they lasted even longer. We know that green light therapy works, so I bought a $40 light dimmer and they don’t work on this lightbulb. It is impossible to dim and it only has 1 setting which is too bright and too neon. It’s very painful, I am returning.

The light is in fact green and does not flicker, but that’s about all I can say positively about it. If you look at it through a spectroscope you’ll notice it includes yellow, orange, blue light, although it is centered at around the 520 nm green wavelength. This is normal in green LEDs, but this bulb isn’t some break through narrower band green light than any other single color green LED. The other problem I’ve run into is varying luminence. It’ll sometimes get less and more bright for no apparent reason. I’ve tried it in multiple fixtures so it does seem like a bulb issue.

Pleasant relaxing light at reasonable price

I live in the north and I get up in the morning and sit beside my green light. Since I started doing this I am sleeping better.

Bought this for my sister who has migraines and fibromyalgia. The green light did not bother her at all during a migraine. And she felt a calming effect to her nerve pain.
