Great product
This jump start is amazing and worth every dollar. The Wisconsin winters, negative 20 degree weather kills lot of batteries. Unfortunately my Tundra sleeps outside and extreme negative weather drains my year old battery. This thing is a life saver, so much easier and faster than using another car and jumper cables. It works instantly every time. Used it three times thus far on the same charge.

You will love this thing. Just buy it if you have a regular car.
When I borrowed an old never used car my dad gave me one of these to jump the car, it never failed me. I have a sports car I only use and got tired of jumping it with my other car. I went straight for one of these but wasn’t sure if the 1000A would start a 3.5 v6 as even jumping it with my car would take awhile. When it got delivered, it had 3 bars of battery and started the car up no problem at all. It’s a little expensive compared to some of the cheaper options but with this one I know I can rely on it and won’t be stranded. Well worth the price. It’s the size of my for arm, with simple design and bright led lighting, it’s rugged so you know it could handle abuse. Usb-c charging and provided with cable. I seen someone give a 1 star because of this. It’s 2026 what do you expect? Supports fast charging. Nicely packaged and come’s with a nice little bag to place everything in. Only thing I don’t like is it uses usb outlet to charge things but I didn’t buy this to charge a phone so don’t really care.

Very helpful!
I like the size and it's simple to use. No need to wait for help for others and it's not bulky compared to when I used to carry cables. I charged it as soon as it arrived and didn't use it for months. Finally I needed it and it worked perfectly. I loved how simple and quick it was. It lasted quite a few chargers before I had to recharge it again.

Extremely Happy
This is a great product. Very compact but still provides what you need from it. I have actually jumped the vehicle more than once before having to charge it. It's a life saver to have in my car and know I won't be stranded. It's nice to be able to solve the problem right away. Does a fantastic job. Got this on sale at a great price.

Instructions In This Review May Help
Great little device. Worked well to jump start my Dodge Ram 1500 from a completely dead battery situation. The only problem is the instructions. They are too small for a human to read. So if you own this, or are planning on owning this, here is the process to use that I figured out: 1 - attach leads to power pack 2 - attach leads properly to car battery 3 - press the power button on the charger 4 - press and hold the red “!” button until the unit activates (this is what makes people think it doesn’t work) 5 - start vehicle 6 - turn off charger and remove cables The lack of clear instruction gave me cause to remove a star otherwise this is a great device for jump starting your vehicle in an emergency.

Easy, Fast and Reliable
This review is for: NOCO Boost Plus, Model GB40 ============================ Short Version: I love this device and will likely never go without one again. It's a reliable and easy to use jump-starter, power bank and 7-position flashlight all-in-one, so what's not to like? I would recommend this NOCO device to anyone who owns a car. Consider it one-payment dead battery insurance with no wait, delays, or co-pay. ========================== • MY EXPERIENCE: My car developed a short in the door lock mechanism that drained the battery in less than 24 hours. Between the inept Ford dealership and the excellent local private automotive shop, It took 5 weeks and several visits to trace and repair the short. In the meantime I needed a reliable way to jump-start my car on a nearly daily basis. After searching Amazon, I purchased this jump starter based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews. And it has really served me well. It was used multiple times between shop visits and has been used multiple times since then. It has been reliable when needed, jump-starting cars with ease. The Li-Ion battery holds a charge for a very long time. After sitting on the shelf for over 6 months it still appeared to hold nearly a full charge. And then only took about an hour to top it up. I've carried jumper cables in my trunk my whole life, but when a jump is needed you can never be certain someone will come along who's willing and has the time to assist you. This powerful jump-starter eliminates that uncertainty. It's also very easy to use and makes a great present for friends and family - even those who aren't very mechanically inclined. • USEFUL LIFE & RECHARGE FREQUENCY - From NOCO, when answering a question here on Amazon: 'The Boost should last several years with regular use and proper storage. To help extend the life of the internal battery, use and recharge at least every couple of months.' - Not everyone will have a need to use this device as a power bank, so the battery won't get properly charged and discharged as described. In that case my suggestion is to use the NOCO every month or two to charge your cell phone. - From NOCO, in the Important Safety Warnings section of the instruction manual: 'To ensure maximum battery life, avoid charging your product for more than a week at a time, as overcharging may shorten battery life. Over time, an unused product will discharge and must be recharged before use. Disconnect the product from power sources when not in use.' • FEATURES: - Powered by a (non-replaceable) 12v 1000A Li-Ion battery. - Battery Connection Safety -- 'Safely connect to any 12-volt vehicle with our mistake-proof design featuring spark-proof technology and reverse polarity protection' - Has a Manual Override, which allows the unit to jump start a battery that is discharged below 2v. - Also serves as a USB connected Power Bank - Includes a 7-position torch light • CONNECTIONS: - 12v Out - The included battery clamps are to be connected here. This is a unique connector so you cannot connect the jumper cables stored in your trunk directly to this device. - USB In - The included cable, or any USB to micro USB charging cable can be plugged in here in order to charge the NOCO jump-starter battery. The power rating of the charger device will dictate how fast the NOCO will come to a full charge. - USB Out - Let's you use the NOCO as a Power Bank (5V, 2.1A), using a standard USB cable. • RECHARGING - Time needed to charge the NOCO - The following comes from the User Manual. Assuming a nearly or fully discharged NOCO GB40: Charger (source) Rating = Full Recharge Time. [.5A = 12h], [1A = 6h], [2A = 3h] • EASY TO USE: 1. Plug the clamps into the NOCO. 2. Connect the clamps to the car battery. 3. Press the NOCO power button to turn it on. 4. Start the car. 5. Press the NOCO power button to turn it off. 6. Disconnect the device from the car battery.

Great for everyday use
I have a Tahoe that I acquired that had been sitting around in a field for 4 years. During that time the mice got in and chewed on the wiring. So the Tahoe has a short that I can't locate that drains the battery every night. I bought this to start it EVERY morning. It works like a charm. I bought it in August and now it's January. In the summer I usually only have to turn the key once and it will go a few days before needing recharging. Now that it's colder I usually need to turn the key twice and it requires charging every day. I've only seen it not work twice. In both cases I think the battery was especially drained (might have been a time where it set for longer than a day). When I hooked it up the lights on the unit didn't even cycle. It didn't do anything. It's only draw back is the lack of instructions that come with it. So how I use it is I hook it up to the battery, turn it on, and the power lights will cycle. Then I hear a click and assume that's when it's ready. Also because it's lithium you shouldn't charge it when the unit is colder than 32 degrees. If you leave it in your vehicle in the winter and it's below freezing you need to let the unit warm up before charging it. You can use it below freezing just don't charge it until it warms up.

Amid life’s chillest pauses, one may yet summon light and motion once more.
In the stark hush of a storm-darkened morning—when the sky brooded low and the world seemed arrested in a chill stillness—I found myself confronting a machine as unresponsive as the moors beneath winter’s heavy hand. Yet from the shadowed recesses of my carriage’s trunk, I drew forth a curious device: the NOCO Boost GB40, a compact sentinel forged to rouse the slumbering heart of engines grown cold. Small though it is, it bears within its frame a force of unexpected magnitude—1000A, a torrent of vitality caged in lithium fire. There is a solemn assurance in its design, a quiet promise that even when surrounded by the bleak desolation of stalled travel, hope may be summoned with the press of a single button. Its cables, sturdy as the roots of ancient oaks, grasp the battery terminals like steadfast companions refusing to yield to adversity. Upon activation, the device stirred with a calm, resolute glow—no wild crackling, no violent upheaval, only a measured surge of power, disciplined and sure. In that instant, the engine, moments before as lifeless as a wind-stripped heath, shuddered and woke, breathing again with a deep, grateful rumble. It felt as though some latent spirit had been coaxed back from the threshold, restored not by fury but by steadfast will. Yet the GB40 offers more than mere resurrection of engines; it bears the gentle utility of a power bank, a silent keeper of lifelines for lanterns, phones, and wandering travelers who rely upon faint glimmers in dark hours. Portable, unwavering, it seems fashioned for those accustomed to lonely roads and unpredictable skies. Thus I regard this device with a rare admiration. In its compact strength is the same unwavering resolve found in souls who endure tempests unbowed. It brings not only power, but the comfort of knowing that, amid life’s chillest pauses, one may yet summon light and motion once more.
