I want to catch fish, not brag about how much I spent on my gear. I also wanted to try top water to help reduce my lure loss. My first cast with the silver Nuguri into a swift moving river and a smallmouth nailed it. Two casts later, another. Overall, my first trip using the Nuguri's caught 4 smallies (3 on silver, 1 on orange) and missed 2 more. One jumped and shook the lure. I found the hooks to be extremely sharp, so that was not the reason - smallies jump and shake a lot of lures. Needless to say, I was thrilled with the results and would buy again. P.S.
