The Well-Watered Woman: Rooted in Truth, Growing in Grace, Flourishing in Faith

This book exceeding any expectation I had. There were so many amazing stories throughout that lit a fire for Jesus in me. This is the best book I’ve read since I can remember. Possibly, ever! I’m purchasing the hard copy to reread and journal as I take my time back through it. Remarkable to say the least!

I got this book Saturday and only read 15 pages the first day but then after I started I couldn’t stop! This book has moved me and the personal stories let you know you aren’t alone and God is always there. This book truly changed my mindset and the way I will continue to stay with God even in my times of discouragement and trials. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for continuing to work on this book and publish it for all of us well watered women to read! I usually don’t post reviews like this but any woman who is thinking about getting this book it’s worth it! 🙏🏼

And you might want to add a pack of highlighters to your cart, because you’re gonna need them too! Or if you’re like me, order two, so you can mark one up and keep the other in pristine condition. 😅 I’ve had the privilege of reading an advanced copy of the book before it’s out, and I can’t get enough. Gretchen has really made the Word come alive, and made me realize the rotten roots that I’ve been letting grow. I feel like I’ve been sitting across the table, having coffee with one of my great friends! Gretchen has a passion for encouraging woman to love Jesus deeply and communicate on a daily basis with Him. I’ve been in a season of life, where I felt like God wasn’t listening to me, and this book reassured me that He is and He knows my hurt. I’ve been eager to dive back into the Word now! I’ve been blown away by the beauty of this book (inside and out), and the amazing truth that Gretchen has poured out onto the pages. This book has been a breath of fresh in air, in knowing I’m not alone in my struggles. That other woman have battled the same thoughts as me. And that Jesus understands my pain and frustrations, even when I don’t believe so.

Have you ever been in the middle of reading a book and one line suddenly jumps out at you, as if those particular words were the EXACT reason you picked it up in the first place? For me, that line in The Well-Watered Woman was "God didn't create us to serve ourselves, but to serve Him through serving others." In an instant, the Holy Spirit convicted me of how I have been living with the mindset to serve myself for way too long. As a believer, the Lord wants to transform our naturally self-serving minds and give us a heart to think of others above ourselves. But I had never thought of it through the lens of the Lord's original design in the creation of man. And that is just ONE nugget in the treasure trove of truth to be found in this book. This isn't a book about how to study the Bible - though it does illustrate why you should. And it isn't a book about Well-Watered Women, the ministry. It's truly a book encouraging you to spend time in God's Word and to remember His faithfulness in every aspect of your life. I loved everything about this book - Gretchen's writing, her honesty, and, most of all, the truth she shared. She brings every part of her story back to the gospel, and it was so refreshing to read a book that constantly points back to Scripture. I admire Gretchen so much, and I cannot recommend this book enough. It's something I'll never forget reading!

I've been following Gretchen's ministry since 2014 (at least) when it was called Life Lived Beautifully, as an Etsy shop. I've been reading her words & buying and using her bible studies and journals for so long! Being an avid reader myself, imagine how excited I was when I heard about her book coming out!! Here's a soundbite of what's included: Gretchen offers tangible tools to know Jesus more and live a life that thoroughly enjoys him, seeks him, and follows him to freedom. "Rooted in truth, growing in grace, flourishing in faith." When reading it... wow, it's such a beautiful book, with the illustrations and the way it is organized. I love how her teaching videos and worksheets for preorder bonuses go even further in depth with the concept. It is an easy, conversational read and is a perfect book for a newer Christian or one who simply needs a reminder of how rich the gospel of Jesus is. Including extensive references and scripture references, there is a lot of meat in here. By discussing at length the well of fullness, the word of freedom, and the way of fruitfulness, while exploring her own struggles and story, and a boatload of scripture references, Gretchen offers women tools to know Jesus more and live a life beautifully for Him! I especially loved when she talked of spiritual disciplines as that is such an important part of our faith and walk. (I'll come back to add to this later! There's so much more I can say! So grateful for you, Gretchen!)

I thoroughly enjoyed all the biblical references. As I read through, I found myself opening my Bible more frequently which I enjoyed.

Absolutely fantastic. The book is one of the most relatable things I've ever read, and it continually points back to scripture. I would highly recommend this to any woman who wants to grow closer to Christ.

Comprei de presente para minha filha e O livro veio com a capa incompleta! Fiquei triste porque o valor é elevado e demorou bastante o envio e ainda chegou com esse defeito. Uma pena.

This writer just surprised me with every page I read. Her understanding of living a life and yet doing all things and still forgetting that we need to take care of ourselves as well. We can serve others, yet we have to remember that we need to nourish ourselves as well. Sometimes we women forget that we need to take some water for ourselves as well. I love how she uses the Bible as a guide for deepening our/my understanding how to apply the teachings in my daily life. Some quote's she uses are spot on! I wonder if she has any other book that is worth reading?

El prodcuto llego antes de los esperado y en excelentes condiciones. Es completamente hermoso, la letra es grande. A pesar de tener un contenido muy completo esperaba que hubiera algunas paginas para hacer unos apuntes o que hubiera apartados de reflexión en cada capitulo pero solo son las paginas de lectura. En resumen esperaba más un devocional estilo lección, reflexión, oración pero este es más como un libro libro. igual no es nada decepcionante, si lo volveria a comprar

This book was requested by my daughter for Christmas. I flicked through some pages ,before wrapping it up , and it looks like a good book. Arrived on time and well presented. She was thrilled with it.
