This is s very cheaply made, unreliable, defective product that I had ordered twice and both the times the unit turned out to be completely useless. Dr. Vaku Pulse Oximeter shows inconsistent values and is so useless that it is able to read saturation from objects like pen and AAA battery (check the attached photos). I ordered Dr Vaku brand looking at the positive reviews on Amazon and for it being a so called made in India product. I was completely wrong in choosing this over the vast number of cheaply built pulse oximeters that are flooded in Amazon with sky high inflated price and are utterly unreliable. The first unit I received was defective as it had inconsistent readings every single time when compared to a hospital pulse oximeter so I was given an option of free replacement by Amazon. The replacement unit that arrived was even worse than the first unit. This unit showed a saturation levels of only 88% to 89% for all our family members whereas for a AAA battery it was showing saturation levels of 97% to 99%!!! This is the state of reliability of Dr Vaku Pulse Oximeter during times of emergency. It is a question of life and death where every second is precious in getting timely medical attention and we have to make a decision of seeking medical attention based on the readings of these highly unreliable, cheaply built and defective Pulse Oximeters at home like Dr. Vaku. Absolutely there is no Quality Control over Dr Vaku's Pulse Oximeters. The values are inconsistent and the unit is cheaply made in ?India/China with clear cost cutting measures. As somebody mentioned earlier, the battery compartment has springs for negative terminal contact point of one battery and the positive terminal of the other battery which is confusing. Usually only the negative terminal side of the batteries end up facing the spring loaded contact point of the unit, but here it is confusing. Amazon has allowed me to get a full refund this time and I'm happy with Amazon's customer service.

I bought the product based on 35k + votes with an overall good rating; however the product is of inferior quality. Also, believe me when I say that the quality of the device that pops up when you open the box would be a luck factor. So, I ordered one of these and the quality was extremely inferior. The display kept on going off and suddenly appearing again. The plastic used also poor as well as the clip(the area we press to open the device of extremely inferior quality) like it would fall off. The wire connecting the pull area was a single sleek wire which could at any point snap and make the device stop working. So, I was a bit confused as the reviews were too many with an average of some 4 rating. So, I ordered a replacement and to my amazement, the quality as such(the display and the plastic) were actually of better quality; and there were in all 4 wires connecting the display contrary to the 1 in the previous device I returned; however this was not a new product and again returned by some customer and I was OK with it; however there was a different issue with this device - THE Device didn't turn OFF. Meaning the usual 8 seconds at which it should switch off, it restarted, and again displayed the word "Oximeter" and kept on restarting every 8 seconds instead of switching off. So, I reinserted the batteries, tried some this and that but still would not turn off, but simply restart after the 8 second interval. So, I eventually returned it for a refund.

The device is very unreliable. Many times (5/10) it gives incorrect / random readings for spo2. During covid situation we got scared multiple times unnecessarily by this device as it kept givong readinga of 80/84 spo2 inspite of multiple attempts and waiting for much time for it to settle. Sometimes, 5/10 it gives OK readings. Also it just did not give any reading for two ladies inspite of waiting for minutes for it to settle down. That is the biggest problem. It may be accurate when it works, but it is extremely unreliable. Hence not of much real use, since you do not know whether to trust it or not. We have used other oximeters (2/3 brands) from relatives and this is the worst out of those 3.

They are selling cheap substandard products in the name of make in india. I've had two oximeters before Dr trust and hesley ...both are amazing quality ...I had to take it with me to workplace and other one got lost and hence I thought I'll try this make in india thing seeing all the wonderful reviews. My parents don't know how to use it or the situation never arose. Recently when my dad faced some discomfort I used this straight out of the box and firstly when you try to peel the sticker on to the display comes out. Secondly this does not effin read ..multiple times it does not display any reading. Good thing u had a BP apparatus... never compromising on health monitoring machines again and not buying made in india items from third class companies again.

Reminder 2 - From day one of use i could see that Dr Vaku Oximeter is a very low quality & cheap product as on every occasion of use it was giving some or other issue. My Issues - Battery back cover opens frequently while using it (quality of plastic used is very low), it does not switch on at one press of switch , pulse reading vary on every occasion , battery drains out if oximeter is unused for 3- 5 days I complained these issue to company as my product is under warranty but they want a video from me about all issues faced by me. I want to know if this is an clause of warranty to claim an exchange under warranty I am repenting my decision of buying this product as i have been cheated by the company & want an refund of money ASAP

We want to return the item and not replacement. Request to do as required. Any information you can A cantact to 9818816463The item is not accurate We have received a replacement which is also as bad ad the first one.It is in no way functioning properly. It is showing very erratic & fluctuating reading.It is therefore very misleading. The item does not have a cover for the battery space. This is the first time we are getting such inferior & very poor quality stuff.There seems to be no quality control.We suggest that the stuff of this company should not be supplied to any customer.It will affect your reputation.I wish to return this item so that we can go in for better stuff. Please take this complaint seriously as this item is no good & a waste of our money 29.06.2021 Ref.
