I'm having trouble putting these on my guitar. Are there any tricks to getting them under the strings?

My method is I totally took of all strings and then where the area is to place the stickers I removed all oil( from the fingerboard) with rubbing alcohol. Then fine press( w/ fingernail) the sticker to word it into anchoring to the wood. The wood has some oil along with finger perspiration that can make for a sticker not to be able to ‘stick’.”

I have a 2inch wide neck guitar. Does that fit?

I have smaller neck width and it fits perfectly. If you have trouble, put stickers on the side of neck.

Do you have to remove the strings to apply the stickers?

Nope, you do not need to remove the strings to apply the stickers. What I did is cut each of them in small individual letters and put them below the string near the frets. That way, I can see the note clearly.
