I ordered these 8 mm X 1.25-Pitch Stainless Steel Metric Threaded Rod Coupling for a temporary use on some stainless steel rods in use as spearfishing points to attach both to a spear and an arrow I will use from the boat. I wanted to cut some aluminum rod and make couplers to use for weight reduction. Works for me in this temporary use.
